CURRENT:
100,000 base money
50,000 50% premium bonus
30,000 30% mech bonus
-50,000 repair
-----------
130,000 C-bills for the match.
PROPOSED:
50,000 base money
25,000 50% premium bonus
15,000 30% mech bonus
no repair cost
----------
90,000 C-bills for the match
In order for a decreased base reward per match to equal out to the same income for players with premium accounts and founder or hero mechs, the percentage reward for those things needs to be boosted considerably. Removing a 30K repair and rearm bill from the equation does not compensate for reducing the match rewards by 30K for a premium player, as their actual loss will be 30K + 30K * .5 at least, and possibly as high as 30K + 30K * .5 + 30K * .3.

They'll fix the 'hero' mechs, I'm sure. Right now, be happy you can tell your friends to play the game without getting laughed at.

PGI is on the right track.

P.S.
Goons are going to ruin your complaints.

Your missing the bonuses for assists and other support provided. My only grumble is its more profitable to help kill a mech than to be the hero.

Yeah I think that those numbers might get tweaked a little over time. UNLESS they give you the assist on top of the kill, which will make EVERYONE want to kill.

Mechwarrior is about excel sheets and balancing your economy now? I thought it was about giant robots fighting, and that's why the game underperformed.
It had too much of a focus on economics, and too little robots fighting.
But then again, what do I know about games.

Nope. The 30% bonus that meant you woudl make bomeny 100% faster was the reason why the mechs were worh that price.
Anyoen with basica math sikills was able to notice that and understand why the hero mechs were worth 20$, now they are not worth even 5$.
THat is just another new reason I will continue to tell my friends to NOT ROUCH MWO

Hey! I resent that! I try to be rational!

Well okay, there are a 'few' other golds around that aren't completely disconnected from reality

it's just that so many of them are it's hard not to have your eyes glaze over when you see a gold symbol to the left of the post.
It's almost always sat beside a 'learn 2 play' post in what ever problem the thread brings up.

Increasing the players will only stretch out the painful process of the downward spiral of pandering for a few extra dollars instead of giving people the mechwarrior experience we all want.
We're in the midst of this process now, so pucker up I guess.

You would have gotten:
Quote
Salvage: $15,110
Damage: $38,900
Assist: $30,000
Kills: $15,000
Components: $2,500
Total (pre-bonus): $134,010
Total (post Bonus): $201,015
Prior: $240,255 (Less Repairs)
Now, you certain had a huge repair bill, but a more reasonable of $40k Repair bill only has you "breaking even" for that stellar performance.
You'll also notice that the "Bonus" from the premium time is actually 25% less than it was previously.... Coinciding with the OPs thoughts.

Nope the game needs is a perception of the playerbase that they can trust PGI. THis move makes me not trust PGI and unwilling to Spend the Hundreds of dolalrs I was plannign to spend to buy all hero mechs.

Hi K&B!

Mech needs to die before you can get the assist bonus...so if you're spreading the damage and no mech on the other team dies, you're still hosed.
