Capellan-made mechs rule the battlefield. Stalkers are killing machines, but require actual tactics and plans to be useul (get into advantagous position or you're dead). Everyone got free 8 million C-Bills and newbies now get a bonus decreasing with each match they play until 25th one (the least successful ones get 8 million minimum). No repais or rearm means pugs with level 2 weaponry. 8v8 is in, most groups still pugstomp.
