Yeah, these things were complealty inaccessible to people not paying for premium.

My premium hasn't been activated yet.
I totally have been using XL engines, assault mechs, and missiles. Just not when pugging.

I didn't make much at all when using them though.

Edit: QFT and posterity.

Beta crutch worked in CB, not this pseudo launched product that can't even decide what it's going to be.

Exaclty. I'm a casual player and I do not have the time to look for a clan and schedule my day arund MWO, so for me and other likes me running assault mechs with XL's would result in a net loss about 50% of the time.

If you want consequences for dying go play EVE.

I just used the drop ships on the comstar servers, hardly scheduled.

If I wanted to play Eve I would. But I'm a long time Battletech fan and MechWarrior is a BattleTech Universe game.

Smart players don't pay for Item/Ammo. Since it wont matter much in combat, and it takes too much C-Bills.

Lower HP items have no downside other than getting blown-out faster. Stuff more LRM/Streak ammo if you really need more in fights.

Lostech was made to be balanced even without costs factored in.
-Inner Sphere XL engines are much easier to kill, and cost more slots.
-IS Ferro/Endo save weight, but costs lots of slots(14 each).
-DHS is the standard, SHS is obsolete unless you need slots/cheap mech.

What good is more weapons when you can't even slot them in.

There's also no point to attacking/defending bases since capturing bonuses are removed.

Along with the third person view, not only does it dumb down the game, but it removes a lot of the realism and the strategy.

I can understand wanting to test new games modes, but no reason to disable the old modes.

Also, less time should be spent on new features and more time spent on stabilizing the FPS and removing no HUD bugs, etc.

Game advertised as a Sim.

Stop taking Sim elements out of the game.

Argument over.

Unfortunately being penalized for losing isn't really very fun for thje average player who loses far more than he wins, for MWO to thrive it needs to keep all the average mediocre players it has because of the f2p business model.

your desires are essentially incompatible with the realities of PGI's needs for this game.

Penalized isn't the same as "walking away with less cash".

What kind of infantile morons are attempting to play this game?

Straight off the boat from Mario Kart I guess.

Hahaha you think MWO was advertised as a Sim?

You barely know what the term "Sim" means, go look at the Digital Flight Combat Simulator games if you want to see a real sim.

Mechwarrior has never been a sim. At best a FPS with sim-lite aspects.

Have you SEEN the moronic builds people use in this game?

The average players of MWO is worse than the average COD kiddie somehow, this is the audience PGI has to target,

Weep for your beloved franchise while you can.

COD people won't stay with this game, even if they attempt to pander to that crowd.

They tinker with other titles, but always go back to their trusted routine style games.

Sadly this title is on its way to "routine" and not very exciting. If anything, it's becoming more predictable.

So explain to me what's so deep and intelligent about the repair costs we had? Dont, rearm, don't use FF and you never lose money, just make a bit less, is all.

Yes, real deep.

What....

There's a consequence in dying - not winning. You'll still earn less if you lose.

No, you won't earn less losing... win/lose/draw, the reward is now the same for Assault mode.

Let me see.
I have 20+ mechs, and will buy 3 stalkers when they get released. Then I'll max them. Now I get rewarded for my gigantic damages and hard work, while DHB don't get anything from avoiding fights. So...

I guess I get the last laugh again. Or will they show Kong up on 8 manz with their LRM atlases again?

Wrong, cause we are ALL laughing at you. Gaws internet trolls are so pathetic :D

If you lose you didn't kill as many enemies, so you make less money. If you win, you killed more, so you make more.

This is not hard to understand.
