not really enough imo for ppc's (if it's just projectile speed)

Seeing AC shots slowly float towards the enemy was hilarious but not really effective.

I feel like the PPCs are more prone to weird glitches than any other weapon; passing through the target, bad hit registration, etc. Could be my imagination though, I'll have to give them another try after tomorrow and see what's up.

AC's are good but the travel time could use some boost to me. And PPCs well my complaint has always been with the heat scale more than the weapon itself.

It's got the lowest DPS of any of the autocannons by a good amount.

According to this it would be a nerf
AC5 has better range, lower heat, faster cooldown, higher DPS and it's arguably more reliable because the damage it deals is instantaneous. All that is supposed to be balanced out by space, crit slots, and ammo.
I only use the AC/20 though, so I cant comment on how any of that data works out in-game.
EDIT: Also, I'm looking forward to the proposed AC/PPC changes. They may not be the fixes to end all fixes, but I'm not going to complain about something that will probably make these weapons better.

It's also my understanding that the PPC won't be getting any buffs this update, and they're gonna be buffing both the speed and heat efficiency at a later time (which sucks because it could really use that buff).

Still wish they would rework the PPC so its a PPC.
Particle Projector Cannon
It produces a stream of protons that damges the target.

As I said I would keep you up to date... going into test today... possibly live next patch...
1) AutoCannon projectile speeds increasing. AC/20 ~ 900m/s. AC/LBX10 ~ 1100m/s. AC/UAC/5 ~1300m/s.
2) PPC and ERPPC projectile speeds increasing to 2000m/s (AC/2 speed).
I've also looked into doing some tweaks with the NARC and TAG systems. So far I'm planning on increasing the time that a NARC beacon lasts from 15 seconds to 20 seconds. TAG range will be boosted from 450m to 750m.
These changes will go through testing and if it feels right, you'll see them next patch."

"Update:
- The above mentioned AutoCannon changes, NARC change and TAG changes will be in the Dec. 18th patch.

(I know, the heat and damage buffs are only being investigated right now, and they're probably not in this patch...)

According to Sarna, it's "protons or ions." I stand corrected!

Not to nitpick, but it'd be electrons being fired, not protons.
