Default load-outs don't look all that impressive; it looks like Flame has a right arm energy hardpoint, but Fang could be built on an existing chassis. I wonder about the engine max value as well as how exactly the hardpoints will be laid out.
Only thing that looks disappointing to me is that it looks like the missiles are still in the CT, but that isn't surprising and I can live with it.
edit: Looks like some people spotted a torso ballistic hardpoint, that certainly makes things more interesting.

I like the look, but I don't see a Lyran from Furillo having either of them.

Well that goes out the window then.

A few days ago someone pointed me to a source that had the Dragons Flame, Fang, and Claw, but their builds were much different. One had an AC/10, I think, and 3 SRMs. Another, Flame, had a more energy oriented build with a flamer also, so its obvious that they took some liberties in the designs.

Mixed feelings about this as a Dragon pilot. Sure, on the one hand it's a "hero" version for one of my favorite mechs, the little "must have" monster inside my head is stirring- but there are two of them, so I have to pay for two of them or figure out which one is better. And, speaking of better- both seem to be rocking weapons loadouts that were already possible with regular Dragon fits...not real thrilled with the idea of paying a premium price for them and only really getting a C-bill bonus (and a paintjob) to show for it.
Guess I'l be staying tuned to hear what the actual stats and slots for them are.

Still not super impressed with the night vision... Mechs still look to dark/hard to see, until they are hit by something, then it is kinda blinding and hard to pick out specific areas to aim at. I'll rock the Heat vision like normal probably.

That's only for Fang. Flame has an AC in its left torso. You can see it pretty clearly when it fires it in the videos. The smoke plume comes from the left torso.

Fang should get some kind of melee attack when that gets into game

Like I (and others) have already noted, one of them looks like it has a torso ballistic slot. This means 1) better/easier aiming of that torso weapon, and 2) AC20!
So it is a little different.

Ultimately though it means that if a new player decides he likes Dragons, or just decides "I like fast heavies and want to have a mech with a C-BIll boost," it is an available investment.
Now give me a 4 missile, 2 laser hard point fast Trebuchet hero mech, and I'll spend some MC.

I'm not either but I will probably get them anyway unless the prices are even higher than what we've already seen. I won't complain if they have a bundle for both tho... *hint* *hint*

I -guess- I could settle for a Torso AC20. *sniffles sadly* Half the fun of a Dragon's ballistic goodness is the precision of it's arms. But a Torso AC20. yeah.. Oh yes I could get behind that. AC20 and 2 LLs? mmmmmm Going to be ****' slappin people to the floor In Style!

There's little reason why they shouldn't put melee into the game. Cryengine absolutely supports melee attacks. C'mon PGI! I want to stuff my dragon-foot into people's cockpits!
