This is an educated guess, but I'm thinking 10am-1pm PST is typically their lowest traffic of the day or close to it. That time frame is also a "core" development timeframe so all hands are on deck in the event something goes wrong and they need to back out of an update.

Regardless, someone is going to be pissed about the time.

Nope... just the heart of their workday.... which is the sole reason they use this time period

It's probably because it's the middle of the day. Being as they're based in Canada, it can be assumed that 10am PST is a few hours into their shifts.

About unit conversions: USA specifically is stuck in the Imperial system basically out of stubbornness. "If it ain't broke, don't 'Fix' it". It's a common problem I come across even here in California.

I guess the downtime will be optimized per world part once they have multiple game servers set up.

Someone mentioned earlier that one need simply perform some basic arithmatic. I have to convert for timezones on-the-fly for many of the Wolves of Vehemence.

That reminds me...

Are you talking about me and some Europeans? I'm sorry i don't live in North America. I can ask you few questions about Europe that you could not now the answer and i will give you "converter" instead of a clear answer or a message. How about that Captain America?

EDIT: And no! If they're making game for everyone they should give us more info about patch time. Not only Americans and canadians playing this game. There are more people from Europe than from USA and Canada.

I don't know who, the previous poster was writing about but you seem to be laboring under some false assumptions about US and Canada. We don't all live in the same time zones. In fact if you want to include all of US and Canada's time zones there are actually 6 different time zones. So when Piranha releases their times that means that Americans and Canadians on the whole have to convert it to their time zone as well. Its really not a very big deal.

I don't mean to swear but blizzard patched wow at 5am-9am their time as overall it missed most peak times.

Your all still missing the point , canadians invented time zones, so it's their fault whatever ;)

Everyone that posted to complain about the fact that PGI lists patch times in NA time zones wasted more time typing up their post than they would have simply googling a time zone converter. Just felt I should point that out.

Am I missing something, or is the Stalker 4N just a Stalker 3F with one less LRM-10 and one less hardpoint? That seems absolutely worthless.

Well, seeing as I spent nine years in Basel and Zurich, I'm sure I can ask plenty of questions and get the same problem. ;)

But aside from the time zone change questions (which google could easily answer), I was mostly talking about the "there is no patch today".

Nine years... I'm living here forever so.... And I was in Canada for one year. I have a huge family there. :D But that's not important right now. I didn't want to insult You or something. I just wanted the devs should getting us more info about patching time, we all living in different time zones and most of the people are from Europe (Western Russia belongs to Europe too). i don't want to check the internet everytime they write "4pm PST" or "11am PST" B)

EDIT: Also I know Canada and USA are not in the same time zone LOL. But You're living closer, just cross the border and You're in USA/Canada.

Let's end this crap i'm tired of this. I just need new patch right now.

You could always remember what difference you are to pst in general then always add that number of hours, or use a sticky note and write the number on it and stick it on your lcd. ;)

god, why are eurplean players so entitled? you don't see them providing times for EST, Atlantic, Newfoundland, Moscow, Australia, etc. Everyone else has to figure it out. Why do they "need" to provide a GMT translation?

Adding eight is too hard, give them a break dude, they'd have to use both hands for that. ;)

Just for kicks.
