Serriously though your kind of equality is what is ruining this game, people cannot be botherd to get better so they cry on the forums and get us over powerd ECM and exploding Gaus Rifles.
Why should a mech that costs 6.5mill be as effective as one that costs 7.5... just because they are in the same class, hell might as well cry that the Atlas is the only assault currently that can use ECM.

Clan ER M.Las (7 damage, 5 heat, same range as L.Las), Charger (86 k/ph Assault, and big fists for melee).
