I'm starting to lose hope PGI. You introduced this audio bug since BB got in the game and said it would be fixed by december 18th.

Well it still isn't fixed.

How come the 7.1 sound issue, a bug that appeared AFTER the audio crackle bug, got fixed first? Both are game-breaking issues.

I'm starting to consider a refund, the game has been a lot less enjoyable since that bug got in and it seems like you guys simply don't care.

edit: aright, no longer considering refund since the issue is mostly a problem on particular maps. Still, it needs to be fixed.

Yes. 7.1 still buzzes in left ear.

Stop considering that refund, because they won't give it to you.

considering the game was working perfectly before and they're the one who broke it, I'm not so sure.

Please take part in this thread: http://mwomercs.com/...pted-sfx-in-71/
We may be requesting additional information regarding systems sound settings to determine if there is another cause, or to determine if this is a separate issue from 7.1 (ie, does the same corruption appear on other settings with your system?)

this has nothing to do with the 7.1 issue, I don't know you changed the title to put 7.1 in it.

It's the same issue that has been mentionned countless times before, when BB got in the game around Nov 27th. Some players even put videos showing how badly it is. When there's a lot of stuff going, sounds simply cut from the game to the point where you almost don't hear anything. Just by walking at the beginning of a round, you hear frequent "crackles". I have the issue, around 300 other persons got the same issue, even my brother, who's using a setup similar to mine, has the issue.

And no, I don't have any issues with any other game. A player called Acid Phreak found that you guys messed up the audio encoding and even a dev (Thomas something) recognized the issue as being due to changed audio encoding when BB got in-game.

So please, put that 7.1 stuff out of the the title of my thread as it as nothing to do with the 7.1 audio issue. I'm using stereo headphones for lord's sake.

i said also that this issue has nothing to do with 7.1!

You should PGI tell fast what else you know. For sure they will welcome your wisdom.
Since 'knowing the issue = issue is fixed' in the world of coding, timelines and priorities your help would solve many problems.
I actually wonder why no one else besides you experienced the sound issues. Maybe everybody is deaf?

hmm so I uninstalled the game and reinstalled and the issue seems to be approx. 75% dimished, if not completely gone. Will play more games and post results. Could be placebo because the fights weren't as hectic as the first match I did.

I know man. Worst part is PGI knows what's causing the issue and haven't fixed it yet.

so far, I can confirm that uninstalling and reinstalling your game does improve audio performance, I highly suggest anyone suffering from that bug to try it!

aright, it doesn't solve the issue entirely, but I can tell it's not as bad as it used too. Fighting in water still makes the sound glitch like hell.

Edit: Yup, forest colony snow, for some reason, is still glitchy as hell when I fight in the water. River City also has the same problem. Fight on the ground if possible!

Yep, I been complaining about audio pops and cracks since september and they still haven't done anything.

Since then I replaced my mother board and did 2 reformats... All 100% up to date drivers and still it happens.

come on guys, if we're loud enough, maybe PGI will hear us and fix the problem once and for all.

Sigh...

Yeah I'm sure mothers all over the world said the same thing about their children. Be glad the doctor said no.

From my perspective, PGI has fixed the problem. Betty speaks in complete sentances, no pops, no sound drop-outs. Its unfortunate that it hasnt been resolved on your system - it was a problem on mine last patch, now its not - like I said, unfortunate, but unfair to say they've done nothing.

Ever think that sound problems, let alone 7.1(which I will assume not that many use), are extremely low proirity?

like every new patch, here is my system again:

Core - i 2600k
8GB DDR3
Xfi Titanium HD
Win 7 64bit

all drivers up to date
