4 JJs should produce a running jump of 120Mx60M and allow you to power climb about 120 meters of nearly verticle slope.
Right now for example the highlanger jumps less than one hex in TT terms.

(I may be misremembering the verticle I know you could mount your jj rating in elevation levels (6? meters)

you don't see the running jump mentioned very often but the ten second turn abstracted a lot of things that aren't obvious

I have not yet read this post, or any others about Jump Jets...all I know is in BT a "HEX" was 30 meters, and a mech that RAN approx 90kph, (walk 60kph) could jump 6 HEXES, or 180 meters max....I have a Spider 5V that can now only jump 70 meters...I BOUGHT it with MC because I wanted to have fun jumping the 120 meters it originally could (if I remember correctly)

now what? it can jump 2 HEXes? That's almost assault-mech distances!

Now....Im NOT saying we need to MATCH BT, but can we find something a little more in the middle??

(same goes with missiles...but that's a whole 'nother thing...)

oh...and I just thought of this...now with HSR..or whatever the rewind thing is, those fast mechs w JJ that you could never hit....well now you should be able to hit 'em w HSR...so...can we get it back??

What good is a light mech if it moves like an Atlas?

another edit...just lost my arse in my 5V...I shoulda been able to escape...ugh...anyway, here's another suggestion, hope y'all like it;

-can we get an elevation-reading by the JJ bar? that way we know when to use that last bit of fuel to save our legs?? 'Cuz, when you jump, especially in Alpine, it's really easy to mis-judge elevation...

the spider could jump 240 meters in a running jump and powerclimb that high with a verticle of 120 (I think J height capped at 120 but don't quote me. the spider was the only mech that could turn while jumping a cool but functionally useless quirk.
