I can't confirm this...searched the forums etc. Some say yes some say no. (I'd test it but can't as i'm at work)

If so are there charts/stats on what % increase it is per engine rating?

Thanks for the help.

No, Engines control movement speed and nothing else.

Founder giving false info on this simple thing? Who did you steal that account from? Bigger engine increases your turning speed which directly translates to your torso turning speed. It doesn't increase the arms turning speed.

Pretty sure it does. I a put a 150 engine in a cataphract and it barely turns at all. I had an atlas circling me faster than i could turn.

It basicaly speeds up how fast your legs move, which translates directly to velocity, top speed and turning (not torso twist as mentioned).

Bigger engine size does indeed directly influence twist speed. I know this because I have downgraded engine size in the ilya for various reasns, and it was so slow I re-upped it.

See conflicting answers once again!!!

So if it does impact twist speed/rate (not angle that's mech defined yes?) by how much and for what class? Clearly can't be the same across the board for all classes.

Turning speed, yes. Torso twist speed no. Two completely different things.

On my client this is categorically incorrect.

Perhaps mine is bugged and I should uninstall if its conferring some unintended advantage?

Your torso turning and leg turning are directly linked. You can turn your torso by turning your mech, and then you can additionally turn your torso as well. Anyone who played this game can tell they aren't completely separated.

Engine size affects twist speed, turning speed, acceleration, and I think, braking(though not taken much notice). Put in a larger engine and see.

Yes but a factor of...? We have weapons values, and speed values. Why no twist speed stats? (Arguably highly important for larger mechs)

Dirk is correct. Try putting a 200 std in an Atlas and then a 300XL and you will see a huge difference. In the past the XL did make the mech turn faster but I'm not sure it does anymore.

This is the correct response.

Yes.

And I don't have the code right now but I think it's the same ratio you see with top speed. So equip worst engine and best engine and see diff in top speed.
