6LL was fun and all, but going to 5LL and 3 streaks is more consistent imo.

The stalker really is an awesome chassis. It's flexible and durable, and I think it's one of the coolest looking mechs in the game. I may refit my 5S with 6 LLs and have a go.

If you want to go laserboating the 5M stalker is the one to get, the lasers dont get in the way of the double heatsinks, which come with it, saving some cbills.

std 280, 5LL, 23 double heatsinks, max armor.

if you like to live dangerously strip off a lot of armor for a 300 engine and an extra heatsink, still pretty survivable as long as you dont strip anything off the side torsos.

I went STD280, 5LL, 21(I think?) DHS, 1 SRM4+Artimis (I re-purposed an LRM boat to make it). Holy crap is it fun to play. Since all the damage is pinpoint accurate if anyone is dumb enough to stop in your LoS within ~500m, you take a quick second to look at their damage screen, then pick which limb you want to blow off. Chain fire the 5xLL and most lights will bug out and look for easier prey (unless you are completely out in the open and they can stay in your blind spot. Always try and keep near some terrain where you can prevent rear attacks). You can only alpha ~2 times before overheating, but you can repeatedly chain fire for quite a while.

Honestly, I would dump the Artemis and throw on another SRM launcher with the four tons you save from the Artemis. But, yeah, they are hard hitting setups, for sure.

I'm a terrible player. I use 5x LL, 2x SSRM in mine and, well...

Best 'Mech in the game in my opinion.

I only own one stalker, and the primary purpose of it is to LRM boat. Since I'm using the same mech for both purposes I just kept the Artemis. I agree though, if you're going to use 5LL it's better to not have artems and go with 2 SRM4s or SSRM2s. Even with this sub-optimal build, it's a ton (85 to be exact) of fun!
