Ever since this patch, partially due to 75% of the trials carrying them, but mostly because of the new tag-equippable lrm boat, I have seen LOADS more lrms. They virtually dissappeared when ecm came out, but all of a sudden every match is a campout while lrms fly everywhere. They seem effective enough, after all, I have been killed a few times since this patch. The stalker seems to be a catapult that can have as many lrm's as a catapult while still keeping plenty of lasers. I want a stalker, but it may be a while before I get one. Too expensive...

Seriously, stalkers carry lrms more than any other mech now.

Hmmm yea, it'd be pretty convenient if you were to somehow acquire 7.9 million free c-bills wouldn't it.

I'm saying I have many other mechs I need to buy upgrades and other variants for. I want one, but if I buy one, it will be a long while before I can get another. A LONG LONG WHILE. I need the cash for other stuff.

new mechs (stalkers, new dragon hero mechs) means a lot of people will play those for the next few days, meaning a lot of people that were rolling ecm mechs now aren't. wait a week and see how it goes when people go back to their ddc's and ravens

That has helped, but even then, stalkers are the new lrm boat. I believe my first statement was mostly in target.

id like to see you make a successful 6 PPC build that does not overheat within seconds. I know 4 PPCs can fit on it but I don't think 6 will fit on any Stalker.

I was being facetious, however you can put 6 erppcs on it and overheat in one shot. Firing before full cooldown will kill you however. Its actually good for a real sniper to take 4 and poke targets during the positioning phase but i digress the statement before was a joke equating the stalker to a mecha fitted with a "wave motion gun"

alpha sniping is quite viable so long as you full reverse throttle before shut down your momentum will carry you back behind your perch of choice giving you time to cool down without being a target you should try it some time with a group you can count on

I prefer 3ML and 2LL on top of the 6 SRM6s.

After going a few rounds in PUG land I've removed the lrms on my 3F variant and replaced with 2 more srm6 and more armor. kills went from 0-1 to bout 2-3 rough average.

I'll keep the lrms on my other variant for premade action where lrm lock is more reliable.

I dont like getting close to people in a sniper >.> the shallow angle of torso twist makes it less than ideal but its still really ferocious up close

there is not as talker that can fit 6 missile anything. The most SRMs or LRMs you can fit on one is 5. But... The one stalker that you can fit 5 on will not fire all five together. The fifth missile hard point is for a NARC pod meaning that whatever you put there will only fire it's missiles one by one. If you put an LRM pack there it will fire the LRMs 1-1-1-1-1-1.... And so on lol.

The same thing happens with the raven that has a Missile hard point set to use a NARC pod. I put an LRM 20 there instead of the NARC and it fires the LRM 20s like a machine gun... 1 at a time in a stream of single fired 20s lol

Finally another mech that does that! NARC tubes ftw!
