No, I didn't miss your videos. Neat and good for you and your build but I'm not talking about your build and the tactics that work well with it. I'm talking about my build and my tactics; they are very different.

Just saying.... Lights need to stay away from the main battle field you get into higher and higher skill levels.
Raven is still too slow from trouble as other lights and cicada run at 150KPH.

R2X can do 4 Medium lasers for harasser/with a little bit of brawling.
I found the best DSP short range R4X build is 2xMPLS + 2MG... But ERLL has to be the most useful.

OK! so I've been playing for a few months now and the raven 4X was my first, twos the mech that popped my ch... ummm anyway, I've been through a lot of builds but I found the best build for "me" is 2xERLARGE and 2xMACHINEGUN with 1 ton ammo. in order to do this you need FERRO ARMOR, double heat sinks with a XL245. I take 2xDOUBLE HEAT SINKS, 232 out of 238 armor with standard structure but you can have an extra 1.5 ton left over with endo steel for I don't know... an ams and 1 ton ammo? or the rest of your armor and another double heat sink? Which as im writing this im thinking "why the hell haven't I done this before?" what a dumb as... anyway. So the machine guns are for strictly harassing mechs. getting there attention if that's what you want to do. I use them to hunt lights when the need arises BUT! that's not what this mech is for... this is a sniping mech. "up he sees me down!" if you catch the reference. basically look over the ridge fire and move to another location if need be. I've had much success with 4X in this role and I've done a max damage of about 900 give or take a few. ill take a screenshot later if anyone wants to call me on it. but mostly get between 400 and 500. also very very very good for accurately shooting a mech that has a weak spot anywhere in there armor. so as weird as I may sounds... beagle active probe. yes I said it! get in there, lock on, see where he's hurting, shoot! and G.T.F.O! sorry I got a little emotional there... ptsd. You can also do 2 to 4 alphas consecutively (map depending of course)Well I hope this helps anyone on there quest for the best raven fit. aaaaah something just struck me. So whenever i see light far away sitting in cover with the teammates and lobbing shells, its the 4Xes. Allways found it funny when i pummel enemy pack, i see some small light sticking up lobbing shells, thinking, dont you lights need to run around and anoy people and not face me.
I dont know how many lights ive killed by suddenly changing target and clocking a light with 3 AC-10s shells.
Cicadas to i think, they can have sniper builds with balistics.

The X4 is the ******* child of an L3 and a Catapult, its not breed for any specific purposes but will preform all roles...mediocre.

First Raven I repurchased here lately. High weap mounts, jump jets. I don't see why evryong gripes about this thing.

drop artemis/armor and engine size/jumpjets to add A.M.S
RVN-4X - XL 275 - 140.0 KPH - 232 armor - 3 Jumpjets - 2 Medium Pulse lasers - One Srm 6 artemis - 100 srm ammo - 2 machine guns - 2000 machine gun ammo


One large , one medium pulse laser , 2 machine guns , 1 srm 4 , AMS , 140 kph

hah yeah i remembered you too , including the ingame loadout lol
been having terribad runs all day and yesterday no matter what mech i run

in my defence i only had a er large laser to defend my myself then had to go afk at one point andd dunno how i didn't die while afk

I'm still behind the 2xLL and 2xMchgun 4X loadout. I don't have max speed, but I got a lot of pow-pow and rip-rip. So I am happy with that.

Back when it had a 245 engine cap, there was a lot to gripe about. It was so inferior to the -3L in every way.

You know, I always had trouble putting an AC/20 on a Raven, because I didn't want to use an engine that small. But now that I have the 190XL for my Locust, I may just have to give it another shot.

Holy batcrap that's awesome! I've heard of AC/20 Ravens, but I've never seen actually one. I'd swap the SL for a JJ though.

Can try this one, stick to team give them AMS with ur 2k ammo for it, search for weakened enemy/cored one. U have decent speed to close ur distance and make that punch into open parts and make some pretty much punch just try to get them from behind. If u only want exp just change 1 ml into tag help ur team to spot them u get quite alot EXP for spotting and when someone shoot them u get points for this also.
