Queen Victoria. The Queen of England, and most other commonwealth countries (Her position as Queen of Canada is a separate legal person than the queen of england). About the only thing she really does is appear on our coinage and occasionally visits. She is obviously not a political leader, she is a figurehead.

Queen Victoria still visits Canada? That's strange over here in England she's been dead for over a hundred years.

I read a list once about the 10 best things about Canada..

7 of them were "being the only country to invade the continental United States and burn its capital to the ground...."

<sigh> Sad thing is, the poor dears thought each time was the first time they wrote it.

Canada - Cuddly little plaything of the U.S.

And to you I answer with this:

REASONS TO FEAR CANADA.

BY SEAN CARMAN

Ninety percent of population is massed within 100 miles of northern American border.

Seems not to mind that one of its provinces has turned almost entirely French.

Excessive politeness only makes sense as cover for something truly sinister. But what?

Citizens seem strangely impervious to cold.

Decriminalization of marijuana and acceptance of gay marriage without corresponding collapse of social institutions indicate Canada may, in fact, be indestructible.

Has infiltrated entertainment industry with singers, actors, and comedians practically indistinguishable from their American counterparts.

Consistently stays just below cultural radar yet never quite disappears.

Parliamentary government and common-law judiciary appear to function acceptably yet remain completely inscrutable.

Never had a “disco phase.”

Seemingly endless supply of timber, donuts, and Scotch-plaid hats with earflaps.

Keeps insisting it “has no designs on America” and “only wants peace.”

Plays a mean game of pond hockey

Same as with Australia. It still has that English province stamp on it, but only as a fancy looking stamp.

She has no power in England (mostly), let alone in places on the other side of the globe. :)

No overt obvious power.

If you think the crown has "no power" you are out to lunch my friend.

We are the Canadian Borg.

Resistence would be impolite.

Please wait to be assimilated.

I'd post the pic, but I'm too lazy.

The last episode of Top Gear UK was Episode 7 of Season 18, which aired on 11 March 2012. You are watching older Top Gear UK episodes on BBC America.

Those sneaky devils! We are on to you now Canada.
Stay vigilante my fellow Americans. The Canadian threat is real! Someone call Glenn Beck. Only he and his chalkboard can sort this one out.

I once asked a Canadian friend what Boxing day was all about, to which she replied, "shopping".

A little nano beaver bug politely implanted into those who encounter Canadian hospitality....laying dormant....until activated.

If you find yourself holding the door open for people, you may be inflicted.

I was doing that before I'd ever heard of Canada.

I was talking about the Hollywood Virus that has obviously been spreading. We tried to contain the damage to California, but obviously someone infected several of your prominent entertainers.

Maybe it's all that filming in Vancouver...

Oh Hollywood virus...ya. It's all getting fairly silly isn't it?

I thought you meant...Canadians and their kind demeanor being the virus.

I wish... especially if it brought some Canadian beer along. Then again, if I dealt with polite people more often, I wouldn't need to drink so much.
