It has pretty good speed and precision, multiple buttons and accelorator, and it's just about bullet proof...gone through years of MW4 and flight sims and still going strong.

Edit: I used to have a microsoft sidewinder that was great for MW4. Hopefully I can find something similar.

joystick and mouse
and just for fun usb pedals
joystick allows more control over turning the keys
mouse more precise aim
pedals are fun for turning or side views, or jump and look down

However, I love the immersion of the hands on throttle. It's also a lot easier for me to adjust speed and leave it using a HOT. There's a rocker/slider on my throttle that can be used to control the rudder on planes, but I've found that it works great for turning a mech. So the best setup I have is using the rocker to turn, throttle for speed, and mouse for torso movement. There's also 10 programmable buttons on my mouse and 6 on the throttle so I don't have to rely on the keyboard too much.

It feels incredible. Nothing you can buy retail feels anything like it. Worth every penny too.
Some dude mentioned the death of flight sims... Are you kidding?! I fly EVERY night online versus humans in Falcon 4.0 BMS 4.32 (AMAZING mod for Falcon... fast jets ROCK) as well as Rise of Flight. Tons of fun can be had in the skies. Anyone who thinks flight sims are dead just isn't looking hard enough (really, looking at all). They're alive and well and better than ever.

There are very good reasons for stick and throttle, one being all the buttons and switches
I have built in my work shop/den and 5ft by 3ft cockpit, useing an x65f flight controller and combat peddles all by saitek
I'm sitting in a SCAT pro racing seat with fixed back and I built arm consoles that are secured very solidly to the base
It's 50% enclosed as a cockpit right now and I have plans for a completely enclosed cockpit
Just got it somewhat finnished this last weekend and have spent this last week mapping everything to use in mw4 mek tek online
I found out that I'm a noob again!!! It's so different then mouse and keyboard !! I'm gonna have to learn all over again!!
The x65f is just awsome!! The stick doesn't move , it's force sensing and you can
Program how much force it takes to move the reticle
I should be done testing and in servers by the weekend. And I'll get pics posted here soon

I do not have any issues using a JS in MWLL. Must be your actionmap is messed up or your JS's software is not "tuned" properly. Or both.

The joystick "works" in MWLL, but there's no non-linear sensitivity curve options, so aiming is quite difficult, especially when zoomed in. Either it's too sensetive when zoomed in and fine when zoomed out, or fine when zoomed in but too slow when zoomed out, I can't for the life of me get a happy medium. The joystick I have isn't the best and doesn't have it's own software, so I have to rely on the game for sensitivity settings. It would work great if they had curve options, but alas as it stands the mouse is so much more accurate. And that's made all the more important when you realize everyone is sniping from halfway across the map.
