I just found it mildly amusing that, yes, you are from Quebec and know about a hack forum.

I know not everyone in Quebec cheats, but you gotta admit, it is curiously prevalent with french canadians. Perhaps not in the games you play, but you are obviously aware of the stigma judging from your response

Well, I always fire my lasers in the air or the ground at the start of a match, especially if they are pulse. I doubt it though, I certainly wouldn't be suspicious of anyone doing so really.

But, if they have no real anti-cheat, and simply "monitor" the stats for suspicious activity... well that seems to me on the surface almost as bad as banning people off of "demo-review" (or for this game, the equivalent of a youtube video)

Uh, no. I can think of many reasons, like people being in a browser or something while the game is launching and using the mouse to get back to the game.

Or wanting to test how much heat their weapons produce in the map and how fast it dissipates.

I've more than once shot my lasers to the ground while moving into position to judge/remind myself of that mech's heat management behaviour.

You contacted PGI, they'll watch him and if they spot the aimbot they'll take action. Writing a wall of text screaming HES A WITCH BURN HIM!! Is not really helping.

Btw an easy way to reduce Aimbotting: Remove the ECM.

Because Aimbotting is only effective with a Closecombat Setup
( as long range Setups are ineffective in a Brawl and in MWO we have Range swaps)

And reducing the ECM in effect or removing it would generate Longrange Combats carried out with missles, which don't need Aimbots... something wandering through my mind why we have _now_ the Big AImbot swapp in...

But as far as i have noticed PGI is doing something against it.

That's BS because even if they did ban the guy, they wouldn't disclose that to you. All they will say, like any company, is that they're investigating it or looking into it and/or will take the appropriate action.

A lot of people keep saying that PGI made so much money via Founders and why should they care etc... Maybe because all that founders money went into advertising and hiring and al lkinds of expenses you cannot fathom. Like the hiring of staff to sift through stupid "OMGHAXORZ" emails. I suspect that:
1) PGI wants to keep making money
2) GPI has bills to pay and has spent at least 50% of the founders money on things like overtime and equipment and random necessary emergency expenses. An additional 30% has been spent on expected things like salaries and equipment. The other 20% is there to make sure the people who have loaned them additional capital can be paid if it all goes to ****.
3) Staff is expensive! Finding staff is even more expensive. The developers and designers have been working non-stop for months. While it might seem slow to you, this stuff is hard! Different teams work on different parts, so the net code is bad. Yep, PGI would seem to agree with you, since they are looking to hire additional positions.
4) They don't want to fail the community they have helped foster, but they cannot please everyone all the time.

I fire into rocks or buildings (after making sure no one gets between me and said object) after refitting weapons and testing heat for different firing groups or to decide on caustic if I want to set to chainfire etc.

Does not necessarily have anything to do with bots.

They didn't disclose it to me. They told him. As I have never had a reason to distrust this person I think I will believe him till proven a liar.
