That was probably Erthwerks press that released that.

Seeing as how some companies in the Inner Sphere essentially own whole worlds (and if their CEO's/Owners are nobles, they DO own whole worlds) Companies can have enromous power, including local law enforcement, with life and death power over people on those worlds. While they are subject to the laws of the land (House Laws) Their local power is essentially infinite.

Being "fired" from one of these companies coudl mean a whole new thing...

Comstar is of course, another level up from even this. Though in the current age they tend to do things discreetly.

Tikonov - and its factories - currently belong to the FedSuns, which (currently) makes the facility on Grand Base the largest 'Mech factory (currently) in the Confederation.

The Grand Base facility is also the primary manufacturing location of the CTF-3L variant of the Cataphract...
