Look at the FRR. Those guys really want to screw up the future.

I think it could come to the point that Clans were stopped a little bit before Tukyid, but by FRR, not Com Guards.

Yes, we will fight very hard to screw up the future for the Clans!

Never give up, never surrender!

If people are still looking for era map of the BattleTech Universe, I have created a whole bunch in A1 size poster format, covering most eras from the Age of War, through to 3130, including 3040/3052. I have not done the end of the Star League or the 1st 3 Succession Wars as I am waiting on Handbook: House Kurita to come out first.

You can downlaod the maps here: http://www.ourbattle....com/downloads/

Just scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the era maps drop down arrow. Currently the campaign maps are being redone, so there are only placeholders.

BUT that is one of the real reasons I wanted MWO to be a true REBOOT of the franchise. So players could change the course of the future. It sucks knowing that no matter what you do that the future is predetermined.

For similar reasons I had wished this game would have taken place during the 3rd Succession War. Even if they placed it in the 3015 setting of the MechWarrior "Reboot" that kind of morphed into MWO, it would have still given us a period of 10 years of constant war between 5 Great Houses, with no crazy tech races, and in a period not already completely covered by a ton of lore that's been hashed over AGAIN. AND. AGAIN. With as little coverage of the 3rd Succession War as it is, all they would have had to do was keep it so that there is always 5 Successor States during the lifetime of the game, with borders able to be changed however they want whenever they want and it wouldn't even have trampled over any of the existing lore.

It would have provided a richer experience for players to have and take ownership of their actions in that time period rather than being railroaded to a script of a story we already know. But instead they went the "safe" route and took what was "familiar"
