Putting all my suggestions in one thread...

Game World:
Put in a solaris arena mode, but also put in a system where the big matches are streamed live. One of your goals should be to knock down LoL from its #1 streamed game ranking. This could do it. Especially if you toss some gambling in. I'd love to sit at work betting on matches with cbills and MC.

Tonnage Leagues:
My biggest issue with the current matchmaker is that class v class matching leads to unfair matches. A commando is no Jenner, An Awesome is no Atlas, Catapults (and soon cataphracts) laugh at Dragons, and well... mediums are all kinda meh. 8v8 Anything goes is 'okay', but i think it would be far more interesting if there were some constraints players had to work around and put some thought into. Anyway the point here isn't to whine about your terrible matchmaker (its terrible), the point is to talk about how things could be far more interesting with Tonnage Leagues.

A premade group of 8 should have the option of launching in one of several Tonnage Leagues. Basically the groups drop weight would be limited to the weight limit defined by that league. Lets say the primary League has a 400 ton drop limit w/ 8 player min (cant launch a man short). So you could roll 8 hunchbacks, or 4 awesomes 4 fleas, hopefully you get the idea. The group decides how best to use that tonnage.

Why is this good/better? Currently if i want to roll my awesome, and the enemy gets an atlas because of it, i've essentially hurt my team by 20 tons just due to preference. It would be much better if those 20 tons could go to someone else, turn a hunchback into a cataphract for example. Cataphract and Awesome vs an Atlas and Hunchback. These are the kind of match ups tonnage leagues would allow for.

Gunpla:
Call up Bandai, have them come up with some sweet 1:100 scale MWO models.

MISC:
JJs on the spider need to be buffed. Maybe not height, but the speed of the JJ and regen.
YLW should have start up sequence from the novels
Atlas DDC should not have ECM
Jenner -K should have ECM
Small pulse lasers need a heat reduction

so you bumped it 2 times without any reaction

well i give you my 2 cents :D

we have allready 4 small "arena size" maps

tonnage limit does not work
light mechs are completly out of (tonnage) balance

the basic idea is great !!
i would realy love to have "limited" options for drops .... something that prevents teams to bring only top tech machines to the battle

maybe something like a combination of the new ELO system and a MWO Battle Value for the mechs and components could work .... but i fear we will never know :o

This would be pretty sweet. Doesn't even have to be Bandai. There are plenty of quality scale model companies that could pull this off. And it would be even easier since the mechs have already been modeled. There are 3D printers out there that can easily take the models and "print" scale RL models out.

Taking this one step further, why not partner with IronWind Metals (the company that makes the minis for the tabletop Battletech game) and have a limited (or even unlimited) run of MWO-style minis that come with a promo code to get the mech in-game. It would cross-promote MWO and Battletech Board Game products and be a win-win for both companies and players. Just think: you buy a mini that you can use just for decoration or you can use it in your TT Battletech games, AND you get the mech to use in MWO! Much better than paying for MC just for the mech in-game. I'd even pay a premium over the standard IronWind Metals mini prices.

Not sure i follow, since you can have different tonnage leagues. 200tons 300tons, etc. Lights make much more sense with a lower limit. Or if we ever got to a 12v12, lights would come into play at 400tons. Also the leagues would need more visibility than the current matchmaker offers. If someone is waiting for a match in a certain league, it should be visible. Also, im not saying do away with the no limit/rules 8v8, its just without rules its just saturated with FTM builds.

Honestly I'm not a huge fan of ELO in anything other than solo/pug matches.

... 4 Commandos will eat an Atlas for lunch with no problem. Are you actually suggesting that 100 tons of mech = 100 tons of mech?
