Stats Question

I'm Papewaio or just Pape or just hey you.
I've been playing MWO for about a week now. Running three Commando's that I earned the hard way. Commandos are an unforgiving mech that are cheap to buy. As such they make a good mech to learn with if you can stand the school of hard knocks.
Looking at my stats page I'm Kills:Deaths of 10:64. Yeap I'm likely to die five times, then kill your mech then promptly die as an Atlas accidentally reverses over me.
I'd like to see a few more stats:
Tonnage kills. In my last two matches I got a Humpback and a Stalker so it would be a 2:2 Kills:Deaths and a 135:50 tonnage ratio.
I'd also love to see assists and targeting acquisition up there. Kills are great for heavies and assaults. Smaller mechs are there for scouting and teamwork. So assists is a nice way of seeing team players.

Now my K/D is 2.89 and I've been using M/H/A (cent/cata/stalker)
I wanna see my assists, and that tonnage thing too!!

So it's either self tracking weapons like looms or streak sooms OR knife fighting at close range with medium pulse... After all I your target fills the screen even lag won't let you miss.

Kills are a "Weak" stat in this game; I've had several 3-kill matches with under 200 damage in my 4SP.

the K/D ratio is getting better over time...believe me. When I did start my stats did look nearly the same but over time it did get better. Luckily I had also the benefit of experiencing some data reset so when the latest data reset did happen (start open betea) my K/D did change to the other direction because my experience at piloting a mech was better...

Hey Herp Derp #2, my KD was so high because there were no knockdowns, and I've said as much*. So go herpderp ******** with your little friend somewhere else.
*It was around 8.00 when there were knockdowns, and its currently 2.95 after using all classes of mechs.

Hey Pape, welcome to MWO! The developers ARE working on adding more visible stats to the game and website, but I don't believe there is a firm ETA on this. I would expect it sometime early next year (first 3 months). This sort of data IS getting recorded, it just isn't exposed to us players.

I've played Battlemech in its earliest incarnations on both Tabletop and PC. I'm not an elite player, but I play more strategy games, so I'm a bit of a stats hound particularly the economics of a game.
It would be interesting to see how this game evolves. Will it allow us to run merc companies with all the logistic overheads? Play popcorn (Gamma World boardgame reference)?, tanks, and support vehicles? All future possibilites.
Right now I'm enjoying the game and using lots of streaks to compensate lag... yeah just lag... maybe l33t inability to shoot straight... at least it minimises my team kills when the lights are running between assaults legs...
