The closed beta and OPERATION INCEPTION assets will enjoy support only in North America.

Um, so wait. Only people in North America can get the founders pack and get access to the game on the 17th?

If thats the case that's incredibly biased towards americans.... So what if you live outside of America? is it too bad, so sad, nevermind for us?

I want to give you my money MWO. But from what it seems, Why would I pay for something that I can't use....

People keep saying the 19th of June for availability, but game play starts on the 17th correct? And information on where it will be available for purchase would be nice, since I have looked through the available pages and yet to find it for sale. I like many others would like to purchase it when we have funds available (when the opportune time presents itself and the wife/girlfriend/significant other are distracted by something and unwittingly agree to the purchase).

Yes!!!! As someone who grew up playing the card, tabletop, and every video game since Mechwarrior 2(including the bastardized Mechassault series), I'm really excited to finally see this happen. I've been a long-time lurker and member for a couple months but this announcement is enough for me to finally break my silence. ;)

Here comes my Fathers Day Gift.
That was a quick $60.
Hopefully not to myself, but I do what I must.

The purchase page isn't up..because it's not June 19th yet... the 17th date mentioned is July 17th, so a month AFTER the packs go on sale.

Thanks for that heads-up. I was about to go digging through threads to verify important dates.

For everyone not in North America, get some sort of visa, take a leave of absence from your jobs, pool together and throw down to buy an old repossessed house! You can get a big place like a church for $20,000 and if there's forty of you it's only $500 per person! Cost of living is cheap in the Midwest and it would only be to hold you over for a month or two (hopefully) until the release of the actual game. :)

So about these Founders' Mechs. Does anyone know, is it only for the four shown? Or can you choose any of the starting 12? It was never my intention to get a Jenner and do the scout thing, but so far it's my favorite of the Inception mechs. I can do recon if I get that beast. lol

Just one of the four shown can be selected as your Founder's 'Mech.

Sigh. I remember back in the good old days of gaming when $60 would get you a full game, including a single player campaign and a stable full of battlemechs.

Asking $60 up front for largely unknown rewards just seems like opportunistic nickle and diming of a pent up loyal fanbase. I don't like the direction this signals. How much do they expect us to spend in a whole year??

The expectation for yearly spending (at least, as I understand it) is... exactly however much you feel like spending.

$60 for (essentially) a game, two months subscription, and all the other 'stuff'.. is a good deal.. picking up a new MMO will typically run you $60 - $100 (depending on the version of the game you get).. and you only get 30 days of subscription with that..

It's a good deal (in my opinion).
