one thing is all have a lil different cockpit, could this be they have the anti DFA mod installed ? or maybe more armour?
or just a nice artistic touch of the master?

So... no one else has noted that all the Elite mechs are slightly smaller then the originals...

They are just drawings, I doubt the in game models are smaller.

Atlas has a monocle, that amused me.

With this Pilot name I must drive it if it looks like that:)

I was hoping for non mech specific bonus but, oh well. I wonder if the premium c-bill bonus will stack with the founder mech bonus or if they are simply identical (This is what I expect).

Not really a fan of any of those 4 even if the art is ok (I prefer snub nosed catapult myself, point nose catapult = no way for me) unless we get access to variants for our Founder mech. To much not known to be sure so I'm going to just say it's either between the catapult or the hunchback for me (I'd rather take the Atlas, but I figure there's going to be five billion of those running around already).

i honestly hope theres not a thousand atlas's running around...
i like that shiver i get down my spine when i see one.

means im scared.
i dont want to be constantly scared that i get bored of it.

complacency; c, o, m, p, a....

They just need to add a gold pocket watch and a cane...

Is it me, or does the right rocket pod on the catapult look like a giant case of beer?

Hard to pick favorites, but probably the Jenner and The Catapult. The Hunchback looks fine too, but I'm less keen on that chassis overall.

Oh, and I'm not an Atlas fan... *holds up trapper-keeper to block the Steiner spitballs*

Add a top hat and you'll have me craving Planters Peanuts and beer!

To me the inception Atlas' cockpit looks like one of the cockpits from Alex's concept art. So maybe we're seeing some of the designs that never made it.

Don't worry not every Steiner is an Atlas or bust kind of person. I'm tossing around some build points, the Cataphract changes things up but out of the 4... it's between the Hunchback and the Catapult for me. My /real/ hope is that the mech's C-Bill boost doesn't stack with the Premium Account boost. Then I won't every feel bad for not using it.

I'm also guessing these will be our four starter mechs to choose from.

I don't know, I don't think we'll actually get "starter" 'Mechs. After all this isn't a tier based game where you have to start from somewhere and work your way up. Personally if I was laying odds, I'd favor us getting enough C-Bills to buy at least one Assault 'Mech. That way people who want to drive assaults can get in them right away and those that want to drive lighter less expensive stuff can buy more than one.

*facepalm*

it has no boost. you can still purchase the default catapult.

I know that it has no actual 'boost' you know perfectly well what I meant. To be fair, your Idea is a sound one, and thats what I'm probably going to do. I know I sound crazy, but I just don't like the look. It frustrates me that that all the other 'mechs look BADA$$, and the Catapult looks like a Raven someone duct-taped LRMs to.

On the plus side, this is my ONLY QUALM with the game so far.

Um the Operation Inception 'Mechs do get a boost, a C-Bill earning boost.

He was talking about being able to get the boost on the regular Catapult since he didn't like the look of the Op: I Catapult.

Claw56 was saying he wished he could transfer the OI boost to the non-OI Catapult, Cinco told him there wasn't a boost.

I expect these mechs were chosen as the Founder bonus mechs because there were the first four to be complete, giving them the most time to have a second pass for alternate modeling. I also expect the same four are the starting line up, from which everyone will receive their first free starter mech- Meaning, those who buy the Operation:Inception packages are not getting two starter mechs, but getting a special skin FOR their starter mech.

If that's the case there will be fewer founder's packages sold.

/really doubt it's the case

Nice work! I hope the 'founder paint' will work out with some of the custom unit paintjobs that have been discussed. Did anybody notice that the Founder Atlas seems to be missing the right shoulder LRM-10? Add the Cat's new nose, the Hunchy's new chin and I'm starting to wonder if the Founder mechs will have some sort of not-available-after-launch equipment...

Cup holders, am/fm 8 track, and fuzzy dice maybe?
