I love the guaranteed access to closed beta when we pre-order a package. :-)

Keep in mind folks, that "guaranteed access" does not necessarily mean you'll get in at day one of closed beta. It just means that you'll get to participate in closed beta at some point. A lot of people don't realize this and then rage when they find out their developer does this. With that said, I have no idea how Piranha will handle that access, so don't say the community didn't warn you in advance.

It'd be in their interests to get other regions going before the last closed beta tbh. Lets them get the hardware bedded in, procedures tested, rollout plans etc and then a load test when they let us plebs on. I'm sure they know this and will try to get it done if they can.

well my beta profile set up is kinda weird and im not sure really if its saveing or not so heres the info any way (figured id post it) and hope i get into the beta cuase this game looks awesome!

operating system : windows xp
processor AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core processor 5600+ MMX 3DNow (2spus)
memory: 170 G
RAM : 2048mb

NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS
approx memory : 512mb

You should see on the beta page, a spot to paste your system specs from the MWO system spec program you download and run. It is a very fast program and it is done. The program also has all directions to paste it into the beta system info section.

Im aus as well, an i might as well wait for open beta as i moved on from 56.k for a reason.

I still remember the day i got cable.

Instead of predicting everything an shooting round a corner in counter strike, i could jump in an shoot if need be.
I got more then 40kills that day, compared to 6 on 56k

I dont wanna ruin my mech exp lol.


So to put my mind at ease, an begin forgetting aboutthe elite/vet packages...

That's what beta tests are for I guess, not just running the optimal settings/setup or locations to play from, but also for players who have high pings etc. to try it out and give the team feedback.

hello its not very clear for my brain so soon, we buy a package in order to play a "BETA" release access ? and what we pay then, will not be refounded or postponed to the full and final game start ?

As far as I can understand, you get early access, an elite only mech and 1 or 2 month subto the game for the inception packages... Along with a custom title

early access = BETA right ? so they dont "reset" all progression when the NOT BETA game start ? if they reset, they give back all stuffs and the $ package ? that's my main concern

I believe Russ mentioned that once they roll out the Inception Package in June they'll stop resetting your pilot data in the beta.
