I have:
2x nvidia 260GTX in SLI driving a 1920x1200 display
1x ATI Radeon HD 3600 series running 2 displays (A 1280x1024 and a 1024x768)
This is a common setup to allow you to have multi-monitor and SLI - the ATI card is just a cheapo one I picked up 2nd hand to drive my extra displays.
I don't use the extra displays for gaming (ie eyefinity style multi-monitor), it's mostly for work or for voice comms, maps etc for gaming.
I tried disabling the ATI card, but it still wouldn't list the nVidia cards.
It is also not calculating disk space properly - my drive is partitioned into two (C: and D:) and I don't install games to C:
It is only listing the space for the partition (C:) and not the drive.
Also, the "Language" entry is incorrect - I am using English (United Kingdom) not US.
When submitting for beta, I have fudged my results somewhat to give a truer representation of what is relevant.
Here is what it detects:
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional
System RAM: 6135 MB
CPU Name: Intel® Core i7 CPU 930 @ 2.80GHz
CPU Speeds: 2405
Physical CPUs: 1
Virtual CPUs: 8
Video Card Description: ATI Radeon HD 3600 Series
VRAM: 512 MB
Primary Display Resolution: 1920x1200
Multi-Monitor Desktop Resolution: 4224x1555
Microphone: True
Language: English (United States)
Free Hard Drive Space: 694 MB
Total Hard Drive Space: 40249 MB
Windows Experience Index Rating: 5.9

From an administrator command prompt (right click, run as administrator) run
'Winmgmt /salvagerepository %windir%\System32\wbem' without the quotes.
Reboot and try to run the tool again.
If it's still not working, try
'Winmgmt /resetrepository %windir%\System32\wbem'
If those don't work, you can try 'chkdsk c:' and 'sfc /scannow', but if those don't work I usually end up reinstalling windows entirely. WMI problems on 7/2008R2 are a pain in the butt.
Checking the WMI repository was a good idea. "Unfortunately" my WMI repository is reported as consistent by Windows 7. I reset it anyway to be safe. Likewise chkdsk and sfc are showing no errors.
Yet I still get the error up front when running the system profiler where I have to hit continue:
'.', hexadecimal value 0x00, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 1.
followed by hanging on the probing WMI step. I guess no beta for me.

I had the same problem. I renamed the data folder and then ran the profiler which returned the right information with the exception that the WEI returned a zero value.

Yeah, that happens with this sort of system detection software. Would be better if they just grabbed all video cards and listed them.
Like you I run multiple monitors with multiple cards. I have a GTX 680 for my main gaming monitor and a 210 for two side monitors. Fortunately mine found the 680 instead of the 210 for the gathering.

My experience was that you had to prefix each entry with an exact catagory that the page recognises, you can't type in "HardDD" for instance if the text it is looking for is HDD.

EU here and asking this myself and still no answer or "clarification" after a 18-pages thread.
Something in this Operation seems to me like the FedCom War of '39 (just irony and thanks to Piranha for a dream becoming true

I've solved my problem. Posting it here in case it helps anyone else. The underlying issue was that I hadn't run Windows Experience Index, and that it wouldn't run, which would have the system profiler hang. I tracked the problem down as follows:
1. Run "winsat formal" on the command line.
2. Any part of Windows Experience Index that doesn't work will show up as an error in the output.
In my case, I had less than 10% free space on my system disk, which causes that part of WEI to poop out. I never worried about it, because it's a solid state drive with which it doesn't matter if you cram them full. After deleting some stuff, I would run winsat without errors. Once that was done and my WEI was showing in the control panel (7.2 if anyone cares), the system profiler works fine.

So which is true, that the beta has not yet started or that, as per the OP in this thread, it started 2 days ago?

For the very same reason i hope the russians will have a separate server. It would be more comfortable for both the russian speaking folks (because it isn't only russian players using these servers) and the EU folks.
