So I just wanted to give any prospective applicants a recent recruits viewpoint. The Templars were new to me, even though I've played in leagues in MW3/MW4 and even led some of the boards under a different callsign. At the time I bumped into Bandit, I didn't even know I'd managed to merge up with a pre-made team. He basically said something along the lines of "Good luck, good hunting. Stick together or die alone."

My experience up till then had mostly been one or two players working together in a PUG and barely squeaking out a K/D ratio of 2/1 with a just barely positive win/loss ratio. Not much fun for a guy that is used to teamwork and also prefers to pilot medium/heavy mechs.

Well, I decided to stick to his six. Focused on whatever they seemed to be shooting at and generally work together as much as you can while not being on comms. We won versus another pre-made team. I friended him afterwards and he sent me info to comms. I was waiting on another unit to start playing, Free Worlds League and some of the old gang who weren't in beta.

Spent about a week on comms, and let me tell you... it was great to once again group with mature pilots who focused on teamwork, character/integrity and a good sense of clean humor. I'm the CEO of a small IT consulting firm and after a long day, I do NOT want to deal with drama and use this game as a destresser.

Bottom line, they are a good mix of veteran players who are helpfull and there are a lot of new/fresh recruits and returning vets who drop regularly and I have no problems getting in an 8 man team most nights, minimum is usually 5-7 with multiple teams dropping. My win/loss is about 20/1 and k/d is around 15/1.

Did I mention I'm having a blast? The Templars are a good unit and worth checking out. We've easily won against a lot of the bigger units like Goons and others that seem to get more publicity on here.

Still not a full member and almost a month in I'm not going anywhere.

Practice was really fun yesterday. Didn't get a lot of time to play but it was great. Really enjoying playing with a team. Makes the game much better when you have a team to count on to cover you when your in trouble.

Take the sleep option. Even a catnap does wonders sometimes. If that's not an option there's the hardcore fork in socket method that I've been told works. Think they named one of those energy drinks off of it.

I had to choose this morning, I had time to get like an hour or so of sleep . . . I started to think about it and realized there was absolutely no way I'd ever wake up if I tried to do that. I hate missing practice, but it was unavoidable. They moved up our entire timeline for these machine deployments over the long weekend. Give managers time off and they think of ways to ruin your plans.
