After the nerf to capturing with the new economy, why should you buy or equip the Capture Accelerator Module? Seems like something that costs 6,000,000 cbills and 15,000 general experience would have some use. A module that costs more than most mechs should be worth it.
But, with the current metagame focused only on brawling and mech destruction a tactical module like this will be of little or no use.

So What Is The Point Of The Capture Accelerator Module?

There's practically no content out right now.
I'm guessing there will be modes and long-term warfare objectives where capture will actually be a strongly desirable goal (right now even Conquest doesn't really give any particular rewards for capping), and the module will be quite valuable then.
Until that time, yes, you should probably keep your XP and money.

Agreed that its too expensive and too high a C-Bill cost with the current maps / gamemodes and mech numbers.

i believe it works with conquest, and getting 7 kills, legging the last mech and capping all nodes to get 750 resources nets you the biggest payout.

Practically speaking, anything that delays you getting to your next match when you can end it at will lowers your ability to min/max C-Bill earnings.

It helps a little. When I enter a base to cap with lancemates already there ... it goes by noticeably quicker. But yeah, the price of a single mech!
