I think I don't quite understand what you mean, could you clarify? (could be my crappy english).

Rather than having just a firepower bar, which is vague at best considering the different types of weapons, and a borked heat efficiency bar, add more to give a player more of an idea of how the mech handles. I'm not saying add as many as my program has because that is a lot that it borders on information overload, but for those who know how to apply that info it is pretty useful.

Now I get it, somehow I though the whole sentence was about armor :)
It is already planned to display more, and more representative stats; there have been some great suggestions concerning heat efficiency also.
Smurfy hasn't decided how to display them (directly, could be a problem with the available space) or maybe something like a popup with more detailed stats.

If you have any ideas about this, and about what stats should be added, please feel free to share, any suggestions are welcome :D

Sorry for being finicky again about armor.. couldn't help myself hehe.

Regarding strip mech option, can we have an option to toggle strip armor too? Currently strip mech takes away armor as well. Usually i just want to redo items but not armor.

Hm, strange, in the newest Chrome version under Win7 and 8 everything seems to work fine.
I'll tell smurfy as soon as hes back.

ps: It would be helpful if you could check the exact Chrome version for testing.

It's a very long number but here it is: 23.0.1271.100. Latest version as of today.

Tested with safari on the ipad as well. Same deal. Selecting a drop down box and choosing an option makes the drop down box vanish as if you tapped a blank area of the page. It is completely unusable, which is a shame as I really want an ipad/iPhone app for MWO. Safari version is whatever the current version is with iOS 6.0.2.

Thats really strange (newest desktop version is 23.0.1271.97 m), it works fine there.. I wonder why the portable version should treat the site differently.
I will speak with smurfy later today, I'm quite sure he does not have an Ipad, but perhaps he can test it in a vm or something, I'll definitely get back to you on that.

I would be happy to test the site on my iPad. If it makes any difference - which it shouldn't - I have an iPad mini and an iPhone 5. Both are running the latest iOS and app versions.

Amazing! Great work Smurfy!

As a newer player, this site.... plus the offline Mechlab and MWOWiki have been instrumental in better understanding the game and also planning out builds without having to upfront the cash for it ingame.

As a new player, both of those are MAJOR issues I have with MWO though.
I'm an older Battletech player and have both desire, patience and basic understanding of the tech... but a newer player without any of those would quit before they even got out of their 'trial' mechs.

No tutorials worth a damn (ingame or out), no mechanic transparency and a clunky mechlab that doesn't let you create hypothetical builds is a BIG no no PGI.

Hmm I noticed Cooling efficiency number in the Online Mechlab! I haven't lost a match since, so it probably made a huge difference immediately.

I was working on something similar...

This is so beautiful... my eyes.... the candy... the sweet, sweet music... why is there a rainbow over my mech...

The calculation for DHS efficeincy is not the same see pic above.
(Only loaded is xl300+2eng DHS + ppc)
As you can see the heat eficiency is diferent.
1.67 != 1.73

I'll just quote myself on this one:

Known Issues:

- the heat-efficiency should be a very close estimation to the value displayed in the game, but it is not exact.
(Cooling Efficiency has been added, it should be a better indication of real heat-efficiency)

@Thontor:
The discounts only affect the heat-efficiency display in game not the the actual heat-efficiency as far as I understand it (please correct me if I'm wrong).

ps: thank you for all the feedback we've been able to gather so far, it's appreciated

That is correct... I hope I didn't imply otherwise.

I was just trying to explain why the Heat Efficiency scale was showing a different value than it did in game.

You didn't imply, I just wasn't sure If I got it right;)
Smurfy is thinking about removing the heat-efficiency bar all-together and display some other, hopefully more representative heat stats (like the first implementation of cooling efficiency, which is basically as display of weapon-hps vs. sink-hps).. I just hope is won't confuse anyone.

yeah, the MWO one is overly complicated, not helpful, and it pretty much lies to you...

A simple (Dissipated HPS) / (Generated HPS) would be much better.

Displayed as a percentage, where 100% is heat neutral

Hi i added this yesterday or so, i called it "Cooling Effeciency",

It does exactly what you said, shows how much percent you are to heat neutral.
