I noticed on my scout Cicada today that I got no kill assist when a Stalker I painted for TAG was missiled to death. Why isn't there a reward for helping out with TAG?

as of currently scout mechs are better off with just having more damage output. spotting bonuses need to be much higher, tag should grant the scout much more xp and cbill than just an assist that they don't get, and narc needs a complete reboot as well as rewards for using it.-> http://mwomercs.com/...__fromsearch__1
with how things are now all people do with lights is run around and pick off weak or slow targets. there is little incentive for teamwork.

As it is now if I want to earn cbills in my ecm raven I almost HAVE to pick off other lights and slow/damaged mechs. I was running tag for a bit in pugs. I would ask if anyone had lrms and announce I had tag. I would do a wide loop to get around the enemy and just sit behind them and tag big targets like the ecm atlas or something. Either I would see zero lrms ever or they would be wasting them on the light dodging in and out of cover. I decided I was tired of not getting paid and went back to harassing and killing other lights. I use the tag when I drop with my unit now.

Yeah, the mechanic seems to be broken in some cases. TAG should get you an assist once the target takes damage from a LRM launch. The stalker, however, seems to be "immune". Possibly a bug with the new stalker or a problem with the netcode (you saw you were tagging him on the client but weren't on the server).

I'd suggest giving equal damage to the tagger as you do to the shooter of lrms, if they hit a tagged target.

Not a bad idea! Especially since holding the tag on a target while not dying is harder than locking and alpha striking >.>
