are you kidding? what kind of auto loader technology do they have there, 70s soviet era?

and there's no rhyme or reason for the jamming. i've tried rapid presses, i've tried intermitten presses, and most of the time the jam occurs after one shot.

whoever came up with that idea should be fired. probably the same guy responsible for the ecm debacle.

'Kay

There's a bunch of UAC/5 jamming topics on the forums already if you use the search function.

you do realise that in the mechwarrior lore. they just came out of a technological dark age. everything is basicly scrap, recycled or plain stripped from other stuff, with the ocasional actual new product. and if the jamming WASNT there than the UAC/5 would be overpowered. this was proven when the jamming WASNT in the game back in the early beta. next time you find something you dint agree with. try to do some recearch on it. there may be a good reason for it.

If you're having problem with UAC-5 jamming, just go to the AC-5. Lighter, cooler. Doesn't jam ever.

Personally, I LOVE the UAC-5, it's a great weapon.

BTW, the jamming is a balancing system. You see, this thing that we're talking about, it's a "Game" People log on and play against each other. If a weapon in the game is too good, then by golly, everyone uses it and the "game" gets boring.

It's based off of a fictional boardgame that was essentially the 80's idea of what the 50th century would be like affter a series of appocalyptic interstellar warfare that had lasted centuries.

I do hope you noticed no one asked which weapon jammed. :)

Probably because most of us are knowledgeable on the weapons we use and it is the only one in game with the mechanic.

Without the jam mechanic there is no point for using the normal AC5, and less reason to use the AC10 as well.
