Looks like you are a big fan of UAC5s! Why would you play the other 3 when you can boat 3 UAC5 on your IM? Personally, I make sure all my heroes have unique builds based on their unique hardpoints so that its a different experience playing each of them:

FANG - 2 LPL + 1 MPL + 1 SRM6 (fast striker role)
ILYA - 3 LBX + 3 ML (brawler role)
FLAME - AC20 + PPC or 3 PPC or 4 Large Laser (fast sniper role)

Flame is totally badass! Imagine that many heavy energy weapons running around at 88kph or more! NASTY! I think energy boating on extremely high speed is the unique loadout Flame brings to the game.

Have an Ilya Muromet and a Flame. Ilya is pretty easy to loadout. Had to play around a lot with the Flame to get something effective. I would buy them all, but MC price needs to come down, you really aren't getting much for what you're spending right now. $50 will buy you a couple hero mechs, 1 month of premium, and maybe 5 or 6 mech bay slots. Doesn't seem like a whole lot for $50 compared to some other F2P games I have played.

Got em all, because Pokemon Effect. Though really I could have passed on the Dragons, I haven't driven them hardly at all since even CB, so it's been a bit of a curve to get the hang of the chassis. Fave is prob the Ilya, it's a solid platform for me even with the ridiculous XL engine.

Gotta say, for some reason, I enjoy most of your polls/posts. I have 3 of the Hero Mechs, just don't see any advantage to Fang, so I skipped him.

I love using the Wang though.. I can hit almost 100KPH, and pack an AC/20 and 2 Medium Pulse. Makes for a heck of a flanker. Especially since it is still the only mech that can elevate/depress it's AC/20. But then, I am one of the original MWO Centurion Whores.

Flame lets me run my own Grand Dragon, essentially, so I had to get that, even if I feel a little bad for leaving the ballistic slot unused. And PPCs still sucking forces me to pack 2 large lasers in the arm. Works though.

And Ilya... well, my Marmaduke is a very useful mech, especially as Cataphracts are the only mechs I like more so far than Centurions. I still use my 4X more, but my Ilya mod works rather nice. Usually can count on at least 2 kills/5oo damage or so.

Only knock is the crappy paint jobs. Or more to the point, the inability to change the Paint/Labels.

Currently have 1 Hero; a YLW.
Running 2UAC5+4t ammo, 2Mlas, AMS, a good escort mech for heavy/assault and LRM/gauss boat.
Stay back and snipe with UAC5 or go in all gun flaring when things turn ugly.

My Flame carries 2 Large Lasers, 2 Medium lasers and an SRM6 (would have artemis, IF they ever amend things to work right.. should be able to mount an ASRM or ALRM in CT or H, with the Arty being in an adjacent torso (or head for a CT mount)

Yes, AC20 + PPC is one of my fav loadout for Flame but that is not something unique to Flame... YLW can do something like that too.

Fun for the cbill boost, but not shooting sparks out my backside with excitement when playing.

I would really suggest both Premium+Hero Mech if you're trying to make some cash with the new system they've got in place.

I'm walking out of games with my mech's pockets bursting with C-bills.

200k-250k when I find myself on the winning side, and about 150kish when I find myself on the losing team.

I can make, pugging, around 4ish Mil a day.


Its worth it, time wise.
