this game is a huge disappointment. not at all like the mechwarrior i remember. i knew this game would be different than the classics. but you cant even use a joy stick? lame. the whole pay to buy mechs is just shady. everything about this game seems half assed. i realize its the beta, maybe i will try again at a future date, but for some reason i dont see this game coming out of beta. or continuing the mechwarrior "franchise". sucks, i had high hopes for this.

see you guys if and when the devs get their **** together.

yes, joystick support right now sucks, but it is something they are working on.

Pay to buy 'mechs? You mean hero 'mechs? I really hope you mean hero 'mechs and not regular 'mechs. So? Big deal. All they really provide is a unique variant that gets a 30% C-Bill match bonus. It isn't like they have super-duper-ultra auto-canons that core non-hero mechs in one shot. Hell Fang and Flame are pretty M'eh, and Yen-Lo-Wang is even more M'eh. The only really good hero mech (currently) is the Muromets, and only because it can get a slightly bigger engine than a Cataphract 4X can get. Other than that the 1X can mimic the 2x Gauss 2x Medium Laser, or the 3x UAC/5 Muromets configurations.

Gotta say, I agree with almost everything you said EXCEPT the Wanf and Flame bashing. The Wang is one of the best heavy skirmishers ever created... or has the potential to be.

I might be Flame biased though because it finally allows me to drive a Grand Dragon with a little work.

I agree, im already commited due to having dropped $120 but if i hadnt i would not be here right now.

Also if this wasnt a MW game with that IP i woudlnt be here either, and that right there i think is a huge issue, when the IP is the only thing holding people because the game is rather sub par in almost all aspects then thats not a good thing.

Seriously, almost every thread in this forum is more QQ about something. Knowing the exact reason every player quit the game would be far more valuable to the devs than all these whiny "xxxxx is OP" threads.
