I'm guessing those are the "1 of each class" that will be available to choose from for new players. Pre-paid "founders" get a re-skin and the c-bill boost. Nice decision I think, no one can really complain about it. Then we all earn C-bills and buy from among the other ... 8 will it be?

Posted this in a different thread. but this one seems more specific.

"Soooo... i want an elite mech. But i dont want those 4. I would prefer to buy the veterans package, and use the in game currency to buy a different elite mech. Am i the only one who feels this way? Would I be S.O.L? If so; How maddening."

*edit* People have been calling them elite mechs, but i guess they are founder mechs, Elite purchase*. does this mean there will be similar mechs minus the fancy paint jobs and chasis modifications?

Yeah, I'm kind of disappointed with our options for 'Founder's' Mechs. If those are our only options.

Personally, I'd much rather have a Centurion or a Dragon.

Either way, I hope we can change the variant of the 'Founder's' Mech. If I can't get a Dragon or Centurion, then I want to turn that Catapult into a K2. Mmm... PPCs. If we can choose Dragons or Centurions, I'm going to swap my loadout for an energy-weapon based loadout ASAP. CN9-AL minus the Small Laser and swapping the LL for a PPC. Or the 'Proto' Grand Dragon. I'm nuts for energy weapons, and I'm not about to apologize for that.

Well, I'd like to get the founder's elite, but I'd rather have a different 'mech that has been released but not listed there. Just wondering if that is possible.

Im kind of hopping that if we buy the Elite package, we will be able to pick one of the Free Founder Mechs but also get a second free mech as the (pick 1 free mech from 4) seemed to be something that was going to also be offered to ALL players that sign up for a F2P account. So... what Im saying is to me I kind of see this as IF you buy the Elite package youll get the founder mech ON TOP of your normal F2P mech option at start. Anyone else see it this way too?

I think alot of people are confusing the free founder Mech, which comes with the Elite founder edition only, with an Elite version of a Mech.

No where in that article did it say that the free founder Mech was Elite, only that the free Mech only comes with the purchase of the Elite founders package.

Sorry, that was bothering me =)

The Custom Founder Mech is the same as the Custom Elite (package) Mech. And I think some are confusing this Mech with the F2P Mech that we ALL get to pick 1 from 4 at start of the game.

yes this is what I think... Because when you start the game under a normal F2P account without having purchased (the elite package)... you have to start the game with a mech right? I think (and I may be wrong) that you will get to pick your 1 fee mech at game start BUT those that have purchased (the elite package) will get to pick a free Founders mech on top of it.

I have already registered four more accounts for release to test each of the starter free mechs available (L-M-H-A). It's for release/open beta, of course, I wouldn't buy Founders pack four times.

I love this speculation. Why is there this assumption that those 4 O.I. Mechs are THE only choices? Who is to say that is only the first wave of pictures for O.I.? Please, show me where it is categorically stated BY PGI or the Developers that THOSE are our ONLY choices for the Elite package. Showing 4 pictures, is NOT proof, just that, SHOWING 4 pictures, to give an idea.

In the tweet roundup they say that we will get 4 mechs ... 1 from each class to choose from. However you are right that we have no idea which 4 they will be.
