STD 200, ES, DHS, AC/10, 2xML, 3xSSRM-2.
I've gotten 5 kills in a match with all of these:
CN9-AL, CN9-D, COM-1B, COM-1D, COM-2D.
Neither of my Founder 'mechs have netted me more than 4 kills in a match.

My second mech, less loved than the first:

And my 3rd, currently working on its elite XP unlocks:

I remember back in august it was a 2xsrm6 4sML Cat with JJ's, then a trollmando, then an AC20 cat, then a Gauss/PPC dragon, then a streak cat (before people raged over them /hipster), then a jenner, then a commando again, then back to an ac20 cat, then a triple ssrm ac10 centurion, then a cataphract sniper... then a different cataphract... and a different cataphract...
...so yeah lets see where the first January Patch takes me.
FOTM mechs will always exist. The masses sometimes overestimate what is effective too.

Also love my altas-d 2 medium lasers(in torso), 2 large lasers(in arms), ac20, 3 tons ammo, 2 srm 6, 3 tons ammo dbl heatsinks.
Honestly I love all my mechs besides my raven. Mostly because I suck with light mechs

Hunch 4SP
4 med lasers, 2 srm 6s endo and DHS.
and
hero Fang with
2 medium plus lasers. 1 med laser, and one SRM6.
with a gauss in its arm.
but these 2 mechs run very simular to each other, the Fang just having more armor,
but the same type of speed.

EDIT: I know that it doesn't follow the current metagame, but I'd rather run a 'mech that's fun than a 'mech that's popular (Although, the Jenner-D was FOTM a while ago)

4x Med Las (2/arm), 4x SRM6 (with 5 tons of ammo...I think...client isn't open at the moment), 1 Large laser in the CT
The "chin laser" as I call it is the sole reason I got this Stalker over it's sister variant, the 5S. It hits exactly where you are aiming (and also looks cool, let's face it) and doesn't drop when you lose a side torso (which Stalkers have a tendancy to do time to time). I sometimes drop it down to a Med las and go with 5x SRM6, but right now I'm finding the Large laser works better.
Firing a cloud of SRMs to rival a LRM launcher can be nuts. This 'Mech runs pretty hot if not managed correctly but is deadly in the right hands. One of the things I like most is that it is all direct fire weapons, meaning you can engage the pesky -D-DC's.
I waited months for the Stalker and she has not disappointed me.

My most effective build prior to ECM was this:
Atlas RS
4 x Large Laser
1 x Gauss Rifle w/ CASE + 3 tons of ammo
AMS + 1 ton of ammo
Standard 285 engine
With ECM, though, I've switched almost entirely to the D-DC variant with two loadouts (I own a different physical mech for each, due to the differing internals):
Atlas D-DC
Endosteel
Standard 300 engine
3 x LRM15 w/ Artemis + 6 tons of ammo
1 x Gauss Rifle w/ CASE + 4 tons of ammo
2 x TAG
ECM
This one is *devastating* at range, especially when supported by a friendly mech to take fire and handle light mechs (against which it is defenseless).
Atlas D-DC
Standard 300 engine
2 x ERPPC
1 x Gauss Rifle w/ CASE + 3 tons of ammo
1 x AMS + 1 ton of ammo
ECM
BAP
This is actually my old standby: the same weapons loadout I have been using since the day I got into the closed beta. I love it because ANY Atlas can mount those same 3 weapons, and depending on the variant you can pick up some backup medium lasers (D and K), ECM (D-DC), extra AMS (K), etc. I have my Founders D and a K variant with the same loadout, but minus the ECM / BAP and adding the medium lasers. You can also up the engine to an XL 360 if you want to move faster, and keep the same loadout (even heatsinks).
