I've built this sorta ugly rig for flight sims using, plywood, 2x6's, two small lcd display screens for flight instruments, a cheap webcam for free track(free head tracking software) and a thrustmaster t.flight hotas x split apart. the whole thing looks really ugly and all but it gets the job done, might use it for this game as well unless it turns out the mouse just reacts faster and the same.

gotta find my gaming pad. nostromo n52. i cant use a joystick due to nerve damage in my arm so i get my mech on with a gaming pad. a guy from my old mech unit at MWL pointed me to it and it is awesome.

I have saitek x52 and the joystick seems to have a 1/2 " blindspot around the entire radius from the center... i notice it in battlefiled on the jets makes aiming with guns a ***** but manuvers at high speed easy as cake....so im worried the need for pecision aimings going to be so great im MWO that this is going to be a big issue so any sugestions of whats wrong or how to fix it thanks :D

*snip*

Same thing with my X-52 Pro that I just got the other day, was wondering if other people had the same problem
Great stick otherwise, but yeah, that's just a little bit annoying...

I have an old Force Feedback 2, from like 11 years ago, maybe more I'm not sure. Sometimes it works great and sometimes not so much. When I learned about this game a few weeks ago I installed MW4 just to get a quick fix, and put my joy stick in. At first it worked fine, but now (and I hate to say it this way) it is going a little limp. I tried adjusting the feed back options in the game. I don't know if it's broke or a software issue. I might have to just get a new one, which makes me sad.

CH Fighterstick + CH Pro Pedals.

I like extremely accurate devices with very, very good reliability over whiz-bang looks.

This^^

Programmable; reliable; easy to get close to 100 functions from the stick buttons alone (with many more possible if you want to spend the time on it); I'll likely use the 3-axis pedals for torso twist (rudder axis) and perhaps arm movement (gas/brake axis).

Wish I still had mine. Sold it to someone along with my old XBox, his x-wife gave it back to me when he went to prison, but the jerk had some how snapped off a bunch of the switches. When I moved into my 13x12 hell hole, I ended up tossing it as I had no where to keep it. I'll be using my old Side Winder Precision Pro.

Going to use my Saitek X-65f. It needs to start justifying what I spent on it. Besides... my old Steel Battalion controller probably won't stand up to the abuse of my mech rage.

I have a Logitech 3D Force Feedback. But it doesn't have enough power from the USB so it requires a power cord, which I don't have. :'( And even if I did have it, I wouldn't use it. For I am eater of cheese, devourer of walls, I am MouseMan! (I'll use a mouse.)

I used to use stick for previous mech games, but in this sort of game I don't think it will be worth using over the accuracy of keyboard+mouse unfortunatly.

I have a Saitek Av8tor that I like pretty well, and my wife has a Saitek Cyborg. But I'm also curious how much of a difference in precision there will be between the mouse+keyboard and a joystick, so I might end up using the mouse.

I figure I'll just stick with the kybrd+mouse to start and might try one of my old joysticks lying around to see how the game feels using that. If I like that, I'll likely update to a newer stick like the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and/or maybe the G13 Advanced Gameboard (to help alleviate keyboard finger cramping).
