Started a match in my centurion, hadn't even left our base, and someone blasts my leg armor off. I turn around, it's a guy in an awesome. I figure it was one of those "I accidentally clicked my mouse button things". I ask why he shot me. He walks up, takes careful aim and headshots me. He then says he doesn't forget a name. After that, he refuses to explain whatever it was I did to him.

I suppose, maybe I hit him with friendly fire or something. It happens. The irony is that I'm one of the few people that will apologize for it. In fact, if someone runs in front of my lasers, I'll aim to the ground. Too bad most people don't do that, lol.

Anyway, it got me thinking about an embarrassing incident that happened the day ECM was released. In fact, it was my very first encounter with an ECM mech. A raven ran right through my team on river city. I was determined to not let it harass us from behind, so I chased after it. I rounded a corner and right into the backside of an Awesome. Here's the embarrassing part, I didn't know that ECM removed the blue triangles from friendly mechs too. So I open fire. A couple seconds later the little blue triangle appears, and I feel like a complete noob. I apologize profusely, and even told him to shoot me. He calls me a moron and goes back to the battle. I completely deserved that and more. So now I'm wondering if this was the same guy. Seems strange to not get revenge at the moment, but to hold a grudge for two weeks then do it. Oh well, who knows....

Anyway, reported him. If I run into him again, it'll be my turn.

Take a screenshot of his corpse. Then make it your signature.

You're putting a lot of thought into this.

Yeah, those suck. Or those that just fire at your whole team in annoyance. The accidental TKs I can understand as I've had people run into my missiles while they are in midflight and then one has to be careful and not get overzealous in getting the kill as I've accidently strafed and killed a team member once. Not proud of it and the most I can do is be more careful in the future. You can chat the TK as some teams all turn on the team killer and destroy him. Kind of an unwritten rule since I've heard your not suppose to TK in retaliation. Personally I find some satisfaction when your team gangs up an disintegrates the mech that is intentionally team killing. Fun to watch in spectator mode I bet. The official thing you are suppose to do is report but not sure if that really has much of an effect.

IKR.

I couldn't have cared less about friendly fire from anybody, but this was too personal I guess. Not knowing what the hell it was about probably doesn't help, lol.

Well.... Serious or not. You'd be annoyed too if your football teammate ran a touchdown for the other team.

well at least you didn't name him. you'd be in trouble here for doing that...

also, noone should call you a moron for firing on an unknown target because ECM is messing with you. It's probably his fault he seperated from the group and left his location unknown.

I've done that....

Hey hey HEY! I'm a computer nerd, not a jock! Proud of every embarrassing moment. Especially when said jocks are still stocking shelves at the local Safeway :P.

Just report him and move on. It'll happen again in the future I'm sure. No point sweating over it.

I have killed teammates accidentally (AC/20 to the back). I said "Sorry dude." They said "It happens."

I had someone TK me with a DUAL AC/20 to my back before he then started cursing and swearing at me in the game because he though I was at fault. I should have reported him but I forgot to get his name.

I've ran into a couple of guys ON TEAMSPEAK, that totally wig out when they run through a teammates lasers, or rush at an opposing mech as 5 other teammates are shooting at it, and get lit up because they are too close to the target trying to hog the kill for themselves. There is no explaining to some of these guys that they are the reason they get lit up and team killed. So dont worry about it.

If you are going to team kill someone because you dont like him, be sure to do it in the heat of battle so that it at least looks like an accident. That's how we take care of bad officers in the military, anyway. Time tested and effective. It's called fragging. Not to be confused with fracking, which is how we are releasing new oil and gas reserves from shale formations deep in the earth :P

I don't see nearly enough of this, in my opinion. What I tend to see at least once a night (twice tonight in fact) is a teamkill because some player walked in front of another player and hindered them a bit at the start of the match when everyone is bunched together. No enemies anywhere, somebody was just walking forward not watching their radar and the dude behind them (out of view) got bent out of shape that somebody got in their way and so they did an alpha strike into the back of our own teammate. Wow. What are you talking about. Relax people.
