I like, but not as a hero mech. It would need a glaring weakness for me to support this as an MC only variant.

I did love your Warlord in MW4, however.

Dual ac 20 / dual gauss rifle would be fantastic would need dual ams or ecm though it would be the main target on the battle field my vote is for this to make hero mech status.

Your design is nearly identical to how I always envisioned the custom Atlas variant I created and played all these years in the Battletech tabletop. Here is the loadout with armor values for MWO...

300 Standard Engine
12 Double Heat Sinks [Engine]
608 Standard Armor
Endo-Steel Internals
Gauss Rifle x 2 w/ CASE [LT/RT]
6 Tons Gauss Ammo [3T LT/3T RT]
Large Laser x 2 [LA/RA]
Medium Laser x 2 [CT]

When I designed this, my goal was a straightforward test platform for the new technology introduced into the Battletech timeline we now play in as Mechwarrior Online. It's simple, durable, affordable and surprisingly effective. I believe we discussed such a 'Mech in a previous thread so I am sharing this because I feel it lends itself to what you are trying to accomplish and I too would like to see an Atlas of this sort in MWO.

This would be interesting to meet on the battlefield, ill def. get the "sweatty palms" that one should have meeting a atlas. A must have !

I'd like to see an Atlas hero mech with a ballistic mount in each side torso and 4 energy slots (like the K or 7D). That in and of itself would be enough for people to buy it as you could run double AC/20's in that bad boy.

But as this is a hero mech It would not be out of line to just have a hero mech with all the same slots of the 7D in a different configuration. Give each side torso slot a ballistic and missile mount and each arm an energy slot. If you wanted to limit the build slightly you could just have one energy slot in the torso.

Unless we get something very interesting with the Hero Atlas I will have no interest. I love my founders Atlas to death and play him at least 80% of the time if not more. Honestly with the exception of the deaths knell all of the hero mechs are along the lines of pay to win in that they have unique advantages and are quite often the best mech available for the chassis.

Warlord in Mw4 had Jumpjets, this would be sweet if the Warlord makes it into MWO. jumpjet capable 100ton mech works for me...

Ok, I've updated the artwork to reflect the weapon hard points and lighten up the cammo so that someone can do a re-paint since it will need some kind of a custom paint/cammo job so feel free to do one and post it here.

Started the work up for the load out:

Head:
6 Crits total, 5 for life support/sensors/cockpit. Leaving 1 open crit

CT: 12 Crits total, 4 for Gyro. Leaving 8 open crits. 2 Energy

LT/RT's:
12 Crits total, 2 Ballistic

LA/RA's: 12 Crits total, 4 for Actuators and shoulder. Leaving 8 open crits. 2 Energy, 1 AMS

LL/RL's: 6 Crits total, 4 for Actuators and Hip. Leaving 2 open crits.

Engine: STD 300

Weapons: x2 AC-10 (LT & RT), x2 Large Laser (LA & RA), x2 Med Pulse Laser (CT)

So it breaks down into this: 4 total Ballistic slots, 6 total Energy slots, and 2 total AMS slots

This would be something I would perfectly be happy to spend 20 bucks of my hard erned real life cash for.

The only way a dual ballistic hardpoint assault would ever work is if LRMs were somehow buffed against them, or if they were 80 tons. Two gauss rifles or a pair of AC 20s with room to spare for a fearsome array of backup weapons? This Mech would replace every other assault on the battlefield.

I was really hoping we would get the AS7-7W, instead of a rehash of what we already had. Oh well.
