To start off this lovely story I must recap a grand match.

So here I was, piloting my raven 4x with my cicada friend, when we meet a dragon (flame), a stalker, and i think it was a centurion. We run for our lives, doing spin cycle after spin cycle around the mechs, picking one target each. As things look grimmer and grimmer the stalker and centurion where blasting us away sweeping their lasers and spreading any missiles they had around us in a wide dispersal pattern to hit our fast moving butts, when the weirdest thing happened. We managed to breakaway from the stalker and centurion and it was just the dragon. Dragon goes and shoots at the two fast moving spinning mechs with 4 large lasers BUT... he didn't breach either of my side torso armor, my legs, OR my arms. Instead he blows a hole clean through my center torso without touching my other torso locations at all (with the beam large lasers). As I fell over dead my cicada buddy managed to make it more of a one on one, he was in shambles but had decent armor on his torso. Next thing he knows, hes falling over dead form multiple center torso ONLY hits that gut him like a fisherman guts his catch!

I started to mention to my team to look out for the flame dragon as he might be using an aim bot (so focus fire on him to save the team) when my buddy posts in the all chat that he must have been using an aim bot to do the feats he did. (Just a recap, that would be hitting only the center torso on two mechs going +120kph.) Obviously the other player denounced such a thing and called us crazies, as I also voiced my opinion that something seemed off about the whole thing. He was also saying that aim bots don't exist in this game and that a cicada's center torso is huge. Is the same also for a raven?

Well that's my story and might be taken as a rant, just thought i should post something about it to see if it is a common problem, is he right and aim bots are a nasty myth, do ravens and cicadas have large center torsos, is it possible to hit ONLY the center torso on the two mechs with large lasers while all mechs are moving at top speed?

I aimbot all the time. How do you hit your enemy if you're not aiming your robot at the enemy? Is this where the whole lag shield thing is coming from? Just use your crosshairs to shoot the enemy robots, guys!

I just headshot killed 3 catapults last game.
Nobody accused me of aimbotting, they just congratulated my aim.

I was a bit let down.

The issue isn't a good shot, which I had had happen on me without complaint and I have done to others without complaint. The problem was, when one person seems to use large lasers (a damage over time weapons), hits a mech moving at 140 KPH, and only seems to hit just the center torso and only the center torso as he is being "death spiraled". Doing it once... maybe. But for 4-6 shots? Enough to take down a raven and a cicada? I will admit, I was hurting by the time I got to him, but my Raven friend wasn't. Either he had great aim, or he had a computer program aiming for him.

Also, I've seen people using aim bots. It's kinda obvious when you go and watch them. Lining up shots before they even know a target is there (through walls, mountains, buildings, and the target isn't on their sensors), and often times shooting into said wall, building, mountain... Not to mention the jerky movements on their crosshairs... and the fact that (if terrain wasn't in the way) every shot would hit... So I don't think anyone can tell me they don't exist.

Basically, I called him out and he (and his team) got snippity and started to say I was a crazy... I don't mind a good shot. I don't mind dieing and losing. But I know how lasers work. You have to keep a steady bead on someone. When they are moving at 140, and you at 80 KPH, you tend to splash the sides a lot. Even if you can/do keep most of the damage in the center. And to do so several times, in a row? Seems too much for a human to preform that regularly...

(Also, as a note, I knew I was dead. I had no armor left in my center torso. But when I heard he took down me and my wingman the same way... it was just a bit too hard to believe... as I said, I don't mind dieing. But if you are going to kill me, do it the right and honest way. Do it yourself.)

I've been accused of aim botting quite a few times, just lucky shots.

And this is why I wished they'd make a single player game like they originally said they would...

With the current netcode, it is a bit far fetched to hit a moving target who isn't running directly away with LLAs cleanly, without deviation, from the center torso. However, unless you can provide proof, it can be difficult for PGI to actually ban anyone. It is why I record most of my games. It makes their lives so much easier, and has fast turnover by their team.

I suggest MSI afterburner as it is free and has almost no framerate hit to your game.

but with proof of there being a website that clearly states

"Our brand new Mechwarrior Online Hack is now available to our MasterPackage subscribers.
See all enemy Mechs or the 3D Radar and let the Aimbot target them with long range lasers or flank them for a surprise attack."

you'd think PGI would get their ***** in gear to fix this and try to have some legal actions against the site.

It is easy to ban a player. It is a much harder and more involved process to get a website shutdown. I am no lawyer, but I do know legal issues have got to go through so much nonsense that even simple open and shut cases can become time consuming. Especially if the bot distributor makes it free.

I always can laugh about someone complaining about it. I think I know which mech you're running. The funniest ppl. are assault pilots which got one-shotted

I am sad, that there was again a link to be removed to a supposed aimbot provider for various games. You should all know better then to post such a thing on a forum where it might find the wrong audience.

Instead please report it to support@mwomercs.com

Yes, I know that it can be found by using google. There are a lot of users who never think about using google to find such a tool, but might use it, if they find the link by luck on the forum of the game they are playing. Those players will risk their account and all progress they made with it or money they invested within.

Yes, thank you. I face palm everytime I see something like that. It's like asking if you can use a racial slur around the people that might be offended, by using the slur itself in the question. Like... come on, people. Think.

Sid it was my Post
:Shocked Face:

Funny part is the video I have of Players/Teams using aimbots are funny as hell, the Cross hair aren't even on the mech when they kill them, and single shot deaths with ML's is quite a score boosters

sad very sad
