MRMs aren't introduced until 3058

And ECM pods aren't introduced until iNARC is out, which is 3062.

The game takes place in 3050..

But we can probably expect them to do a few time skips foward in time, after the Clan invasion.

Wow ok I tried to watch this....He is pissed. did he play the last 3 days? I got LRM'ed every match and each team had at least 3-5 boats! And guass are everywhere....

I don't know what game he's playing. Usually it's a veritable rain storm of LRMs causing people to hide behind anything they can. I also don't see any problem in the match he posted in the video (except his loadout was terrible). It look like a fairly fun match. LRM's a still effective, irritating, and deadly. There is usually 1, rarely 2 ecm mechs per match. I see plenty of streaks in use. This is the garbage we have to deal with. "The sky is falling."

Next he'll complain about the number of stalkers the day after they're released... DUH. It's a new mech. People are going to try what's new. Just like ECM was new and everyone tried it for like 3 days.

Gauss is more situation dependent, because it is now balanced by be fragile. Have you not seen the Stalkers running TAG and major amounts of missiles? No, well look harder.

Wow, this might be the widest trolling-net title I've ever seen! Well done!

But really... even if things weren't different than they were with ECM, I'd choose brawling over LRMs any day.
Don't get me wrong, ECM still needs some kind of nerf, but it's not the harbinger of doom that people scream about. Is it broken? Yes. Should they fix it? Of course. But the game is still totally playable.

I wouldn't say a massive decline of Mediums, just that current Trial Medium is bad. The only decent Trial mech right now is the Stalker, so we see more Assaults than usual.

And yes, there's a revival of LRMs, mostly because the ECM heavy teams moved to 8-mans. You still see the occasional 4-man ECM heavy but most premades don't care to make it a serious business in 4-man drops. LRM is still as deadly (and annoying) as ever. Streakboats are gone though, and thank PGI for that.

the really funny part of this is LRMs are still very viable. people just don't run them because people like this say they aren't.

Gauss is also VERY viable. You just can't run in heads first anymore and have to use it more like a sniper which is intended.

Streaks, i'll give you that one though I keep finding myself getting killed by them.

Missiles have a rightful place in MWO They fly with near impunity in PUG Matches. I have a teammate who broke 1,000 points one match using 4 LRM5s & 4 Large Lasers. *shrug* Vass please stop playing Chicken Little. It saddens me.

This is the guy who made a video of a Streak Cat, and marched around muttering "Jenners, get the Jenners" in an almost psychotic way. While I appreciate anyone who makes videos about the game, his have been about Gassapults and Streakcats. Big surprise he is unhappy the builds got nerfed.


As to PUGs being ruined, they are not. My Stalker has LRMS and SSRMS, still does just fine in PUG games. Yes 1 in 5 matches the enemy team is fully grouped under ECM bubble that does not get countered, and I get rolled. But guess what? Before ECM 1 in 5 teams would be fully grouped and I would get rolled anyway.

I still use Gauss as well. The difference is it can no longer be counted on for 100% of your damage. It's still a fine weapon though.

After 30+ kong encounters on frozen city, all of them being tunnel rushes...I'll 'assume' the same until I see at least 'one' alternate strategy. Of course...I also hope to see you alive and smack talking more than 2 minutes into a match too...wonder which will happen first...lol.

On a side note...you seem to have lost a lot of your charm. I remember quite a long time in closed beta you protesting pugstomping by running only pug...you were still a troll, but at least there was respect...now you 'claim' to pug...but are never seen without kong backup (confirmed by many, many others and yourself in pug smack-spam), yet still have an abysmal K/D ratio...lol...I miss the old pre-4chan vassago...I really do...here's to hoping he makes a return someday. Your compatriarts are decent seldom smack-talking players...I'm truely suprised they put up with you and the name you're spreading.
