Hello fellow MechWarriors,
I am fairly new here and was wondering if there is an official means of reporting TK'ers. I had a run-in with one this evening and found no way, in-game, to report him/her.

Any advice about where to go would be appreciated.

Thanks for any and all replies

Did your teammate chase you down? Or could it have been an accident. Unfortunately for me, I once killed a teammate by accident.

When I drop and see more than 3 raven's with ECM on my team, I kill at least 1 of them...maybe 2, then ALT+F4. I'm like robin hood for the opposing team.

Just call me the great equalizer!

No, it wasn't an accident. I won't bother going into particulars since all I really wanted to know is how to report offenders.

Thanks for the information.

One other question. What are the penalties for this particular type of infraction? Curious as to wether or not it's even worth reporting if all they get is a slap on the wrist.

Thanks again ;)

My problem is that sometimes games end and the score sheet punishes me for a TK I don't remember doing in the first place.

Team Killing has a point in this game.

1. Friendly fire is a considerable risk, and forces players to think before they shoot, vs spay and pray.
2. Friendly fire is great for killing the griefer who is intentionally blocking your advancement, or being a clown in the local chat.

3a. Team Killing is great for teaching ***** players there is a correct way to play in the game, and a way not to play in the game (ex. firing your lazers into the air and letting the enemy know where you are).

Hope that fixes some perceptions you, or others like you have about FF.

yeah, I was tempted to blast this silly-willy raven this afternoon who was just shooting his SRM6 in the air randomly. then later in the match he did very well.

Try 'Y' for team chat instead...

Sometimes the best way to get a player to not move into the middle of the lake, and proceed to pull all the aggro towards him is a good shot to the back.

Y only works if people dont care enough about their KDR.

lol ;)

ECM ravens/commandos are indeed quite annoying, until knockdown is re-implemented.

I prob shouldnt be doing this but i have started to kill teammates that open fire on me in the drop zone. just got tired of telling people to stop firing on teammates, it is like they dont read it or dont care. several times i have lost weapons from people 'testing there weapon groups' in the drop zone. if your too lazy to move a few steps away from group to test fire your weapons, then i dont want you in group. so now i dont care if ya hit me with a water gun, i will eather strip ya or kill ya.

I have killed 3 Teammates by accident.I apologize as soon as I can ,except for 1 time where the game ended too soon.

It does happen when Brawling from time to time.

Post game Chat would help with alot of this to find out if it was accidental or on purpose

let's not confuse jerks with newbies...
I have taken my time to line up an awesome PPC shot, then someone walked right in front of me as I pulled the trigger, then he started raising cane with me, but in reality whose fault was it, I don't know?

as a courteous player however, I always sent out a quick, "oops sorry" chat message, most people are pretty cool and understand.

Whatever BS you make up in your head to rationalize why it's OK to disconnect right before you die and deny XP/kills to the other team. Might the real reason be that you like to maintain a K/D ratio? I think yes...
