Let us Change them (either from a server-side pool, or upload our own).

If we already can, then make it more obvious where. I just scoured the edit profile pages and came up short.

OR if none of those options are possible, remove the user icons from posts. (Some of us are on tablets/net-books, and can use the real-estate.)

Avatars will remain disabled until we begin to integrate your MechWarrior® Online™ profile into the forums. More information will become available in the coming months. Please stay tuned!

How do I change my name.

(Is THAT my pilot name....? 'cause I'm sure I didn't put "_4140")

As posted in another topic the cryptic number-name is due to the servers being overhelmed by all the new members. This will "repair" itself after sometime and your normal name will show up.

So its possible, that we will make our own characters in game? I would love to give a smiley, or mech there (too an option).

I hope to be allowed to use my own picture (linked from offisite is OK with me) so that I can use the "correct" kanji as my avatar.

I wonder if this is going to be the same as WoW. We create a character, and the forum avatar reflects our created mech pilot.

I have to admit, I do not like the idea of waiting a year for avatars... It often makes posters easy to ID with out reading the name, and gives some personality to your account.

I DO LOVE the idea of a linked Avatar at somepoint though.

Well after reading this topic, my question has been answered, however, my pilot name is not correct. I'm sure i had a capital 'A' and 'X' when i typed it in. Can this be changed?

I wonder how they are going to integrate the MWO character profile into the forum profile. These Invision Power Board softwares had the "Avatar Gallery" taken out on their latest software release which they intigrated the forum Profile Picture with the forum avatar so whatever your avatar is, that is your profile picture.

Normally your forum profile picture editing is right above where you edit your time zone in your profile. Only reason I know this is I do a lot of forum skinning on Invision Power Boards just like my latest work on the House Liao website.

On another note... I am glad that they were able to fix the Invision Power Board CSS skin they were using for these forums since it was all wacked.

I agree, waiting a year is too long.

Well I think, instead of speculating what they are going to do, we actually wait and see what they do :)

You must be new to these boards :D So far 3/4s of the posts on this board are all speculation and discussions on speculation :D
