Could Mechwarrior end up similar to TrackMania

If you aren't sure what TrackMania is, It is a pretty popular F2P game that also sells Retail versions. They make their money through sponsorships and ads. They developers created a game that was fun and created a large player base. They used this to help push sells of a full retail version.

Do you think MW:O could take this approach? Players are more likely to buy a game is they can give it a test drive first.

Depends on how much game costs to develop.I think they should just open a paypal account and let us donate.

It's already established that the game will be Micro-Transaction fueled. The question is, will there be a "Premium Account" like World of Tanks and what kind of marketing are we going to see for Mechwarrior Online.

Any game where I can shoot ad's is an instant plus in my eyes.

I think it will be more of a Combat Arms/Project blackout type of F2P game....
