Oh man, I'm so excited. I actually got a transfer to Somerset for next year. Its a boring job, I just get to be guard with nothing more than a rifle, but its pretty safe. So safe, command has determined it doesn't even need a planetary mech garrison. Would've been nice to have a mech to practice with, but its nice to know there's a place that guarantees you'll reach your scheduled retirement next year. To be honest, I'm surprised I've even made it this far. Seriously, no one has a more red shirt than me.

If any of ya'll are anywhere near Hollyfield, Somerset, let me know. And happy new year! I think this is really gonna be my year

Having received and read your last, and then having actually comprehended after reading it again post new years recovery, I am dissapointed to hear you allowing your skills to atrophy so. Your venerable Catapault in a Museum!? Surely you have taken leave of your senses, I add by way of evidence your sudden seeming obsession with wild life, life on a back water, and your strange belief there is or will be anything worth the skill of a mechwarrior in the periphery now or at any point in the future.

It pains me deeply to hear of a killer that has been so declawed, almost as much as the pain the thought of this peace people keep talking about brings on. I'll come and visit soon only so long as the point of the visit is to liberate your 'Mech from it's chains and to smash it's prison, no beast of war should be so shackled. Take up the fight again, and this time renounce your house ties you know they will never allow you to fight as you should. The best we can hope for is a rash act and a bitter conflict, a new succession war would be nice... but fairy tales of a new enemy are just naive. If you need to find me you can, but listen to your heart and hear the rumble of the reactor, a quiet death is not for our kind... and again, come away from the periphery, there's never gonna be anything out their for men like us.

Are you saying that Lady Romano might have an alterior motive for hiring heavily armed merc regiments for her Community Service projects in her realm?
Seems legit to me...though her specifications for these do seem a tad puzzling. How does a lance of Catafaracts and Dragons provide useful work in Peaceful Re Education efforts?
Maybe some of the Liao house troops could clear this up...

That lady's head is like a bag full of cats..... I recommend any merc units avoid her employ unless you fancy going up against the AFFS. Maybe you'll get lucky and deploy on the FWL border.

yeah. i know. hell they creep me out some times. but hey they still make if possible for me to watch a match of Solaris 7 while im over in lio space. i just hope none of them git to crazy and start blowing things up. you know.
