I freaking love this game!

I'll be hitting the $450+ as soon as MC's go on sale again. Kicking myself for letting black friday pass.

None yet, to be honest. It's mainly because I haven't found anything I'd want to buy yet, other than maybe XP-GXP to move the excess 25k off my AWS-8Q pool (only need 43,5 to cap, have 68,7...) and maybe mech-bays now that I have my third Awesome (yes, I'm a bit crazy.) Even then, I find myself wishing that both of them had very high currency sinks, rather than cash-only. :<

The mechs are rather caveat-emptor with incomplete information; for example, the game doesn't tell you which Commando, which Cicada, or which Atlas can use ECM. Also, the heroes are of base models that don't have my attention currently.

Cockpit decs aren't a high priority for me, and I found the basic Marik Purple + Steiner Blue scheme to my liking, so no need for cash camos either. Not that I can see them while in action (and if I CAN, it's for long enough to see myself die yet again.)

The game doesn't, but the wiki's do, from mwowiki.org:

I spent more than 200. Well spent (if a bit much.) Looks like they are making good money.

Elite package and dont see any reason to spend any more until they figure out real things to spend the MC on besides stuff I could care less about in my cockpit or paint I can actually keep unlocked =p

I bought the 60 dollar elite package.
Still have over half my MC left.

Exactly the same, and that's only the case because I purchased a mech with MC by accident once.

If I am honest, I can earn cash just fine ( especially before the RnR change... it heavily nerfed the founders bonus... used to make 200-300k a round on a win, 100+ on most loses, so I am now earning money about half the speed I used to). On the other hand, I think PGI have set their pricing insanely wrong. It's only hero mechs I will use MC on, and frankly when I translate MC back to regular cash... 15$ for a hero mech! Ouch.

When something becomes worthwhile to spend real money on then I plan to do so. But until hero mechs stop costing $20-$30 I will be spending money elsewhere.

Zero. I'm interested in BT universe, some of the game core features actually look good, I also have no other valid choice. But I don't trust devs' skills, sanity and good will much. So I play a little (due to the devs' silence on some matters I have no need to play much as I can't decide which way to go in my mech purchase) and wait for enought things to be fixed/introduced (balance, netcode, matchmaking, UI etc). So I can put my trust and start paying - maybe even before the start of metagame if I'll be assured enough.

Just my founders money. Never re-activated my time and still have 5k in MC. Money spent on founders package was extremely well spent, but not going to add anymore more in till they add more content. Cockpit, paint jobs and even new mech not much of a draw for my cash till more seen on meta game. Oh more maps as well.

Just founders...

Like many others, slightly disappointed at the moment but hopeful it will work out and I'll have the desire to throw money at the game.

Just the founders and it looks like that will be it for some time. Except for mech bays there isn't anything I expect to spend any more MC on and I still have 5k left.

Maybe if there is a hero mech sometime I actually like. So far they don't seem attractive and I won't buy a chassis I can't buy for C-Bills. MC for perks, fine, not able to buy variant with C-Bills, not cool.

I'm pretty sure that the Hero Mechs are going to be MC only. Got to keep the money rolling in, as there are real world costs to running a staff and servers.

probably around $200 for me. I have about 1400 games played and feel like it's been money well spent. I don't plan to spend anymore unless there is another MC sale.

Poll was created incorrectly. Should be circles of which you can only pick one instead of squares of which you can check any or all.

I invested 30 dollars.

That's just about as much as I'm willing to pay for a video game. Thought I'd get a lot for it, but MC prices are very high so I had 9,100 (started with 10,000, bought 3 bays) just sitting there collecting dust for quite a while. In the end I was bored and, since the money was already spent, I got a Flame and enough general XP to Elite it (there's no way I'm playing those other Dragon variants, they're all garbage). Been messing around with it since then.

Got 3200 left. Probably gonna spend it on mechbays. Since I already paid 30 dollars, which is normally my limit, I doubt I'll ever buy any more unless I *really* get into the game and they offer something damn nice at a reasonable cost... but I don't expect that to happen.

Zero. No founders (came in new) and doing the math I'm not paying $15-20 per mech. There's no way the computer game should be more expensive to play than tabletop with miniatures + books. If the mechs come down to a $5-$10 range, I'll probably drop $40-60, until then nothing.

Just the founders.

only bought mechbays and YLW (for R&R and cent piloting)

I have 15,000 MC left.... I wont throw in anymore $$. I would also discourage anyone else to do so, maybe then they might listen to their real BETA testers (us), and the MWO community.

In all honesty, I think PGI is using the MW name for easy money, knowing it already has an existing fan-base, but you can only **** it up so much till even the fans wont pay.

it will take more than just the couple hundreds of fans throwing in $60 -$100 a month to keep this game alive.... but with their current price gouging, thats all their going to see.

The only money I spent was to get enough MC to go premium for a month (well, I had a $25 prepaid that I used as much as I could of). I won't be extending it until there is a greater incentive to do so. I realize that this is a f2p and thus anything that cost money shouldn't give you an on field advantage (eg. buying mechs with more desirable configs...oh wait). Understandably the increase to c-bills, and xp doesn't really give an on field advantage, it just means that you can save up and buy/unlock things sooner. Since the game is pretty fun, I'd rather just play the extra games. Now if buying into premium also came with not having to spend money to transfer MXP to GXP and not having to spend money on paint jobs. That would make it actually worth getting.

$60 for my founders and around $125 on MC, and I plan on throwing about $15 every month or so at MC for the foreseeable future because for all its matchmaker faults, bugs, and balance issues I'm having fun; And I am still getting a better value for my money for the time I spend playing this game then I would if i spent that money on going to movies or buy a couple games on Steam and burning through them in 10-12 hours a piece then never touching again. Ive got somewhere around 530 hours played in MWO since closed beta so I think $2.86 an hour has been well worth it. :P

I never understand why people on most of these games always say that the free players will never spend money so ignore them. I have played a few free games and never spent any real money before because I play it for a week and don't like it so quit.

I have played this game for about 3 weeks and decided to drop $15 for more MC slots and some premium time. If they end up putting up a good sale or give me a hero awesome who can go as fast as the 9m but with the hard point setup of something like the 8T or 8V I will drop in $30-60 on the spot.

But that will never happen because everyone would whine that the awesome is OP >.<
