it's D0, batch 3949A372
for 4GHz its set at 21x190= 3.990 @ 1.25V
for 4.6GHz its set at 21X220= 4.620 (this clock was just for fun though) think it was stable at 1.28V, written down somewhere

My C0 is at 21x 180 (HT on) for 3.780 @ 1.3375. It hit somewhere in the upper 4.3, but it took like 1.45v to do it. It was so hot it ran like 75C on a PA120.3 with high speed Sanyo Denkis by itself!

Eh, wait for IB-E, Haswell, or you could always stay with AMD and get a Vishera FX series chip. With it being 5-20% faster clock-for-clock vs Phenom II (with Trinity Piledriver cores being 5% faster clock for clock vs Phenom II despite lacking L3 cache and it being first stepping piledriver cores), and coming stock clocked at 4ghz on an 8 integer core CPU and all... A lot of things are changing in the next year.
Nice case btw.

i love the raven II. dont see many of them around unfortunately.
SB-E is really a pipe dream. i will stay tuned and if my spare cash situation improves, then maybe i will sit down and decide on something.

Regarding the upgrade, it really depends on what type of use you give to your computer. I would wait for Haswell (or Vishera FX although i have been dissapointed with AMD's last CPUs).
Cheers

when i purchased it, the EVO was not available in the states (still may not be, have not looked), however they released this limited white run with the EVO updates, which is why i went ahead and got it. the fact that its white is just a bonus.

Well, if trinity is anything to go on, Vishera should be as fast or just slightly slower (5-10%) than sandy bridge clock-for-clock, but with the higher clocks at stock it should compete fairly flatly core-for-core with IB, while giving you more cores but eating more power. Not bad given that Vishera is a 32nm chip and IB is 22nm w/ tri-gate. Not to mention due to Intel choosing to use paste instead of solder in the chips IB probably won't OC as high as Vishera either. So AMD might be able to flatline compete until Haswel without Intel fanboys being able to argue anywhere nearly as profusely as they have been since Sandy bridge came out.

While I like the look of the Raven, that 90 degree rotation is just a bit odd IMO, but that's me. I'm a sucker for the NZXT Phantom / 410 myself.

And no Vulpes, I'm no fanboy. Just stating the facts.

Core i7 920 CPU at 3.6GHz w/ Scythe Mugen II cooler (can run 4.1 with no voltage change, but don't like it to get that hot all the time)
EVGA X58 E758 Motherboard
12GB Kingston DDR3-1600 RAM @ 1333, 7-7-7-20
EVGA GTX 680 Video Card at stock speeds, heatsink lapped
EVGA 210 for other monitors
Auzentech X-Meridian 7.1 sound card
RAID 0 of 3 OCZ Vertex 2 SSDs for Games
RAID 0 of 3 WD Velociraptor HDDs for Windows/programs
RAID 0 of 4 WD Black 1TB HDDs for Data/documents (external in Addonics case)
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 910W PSU
Lots of Scythe SFF-21F 120mm fans and a fan controller
Dell IPS 30" 2560x1600 monitor on GTX 680 video card
Other secondary 1680x150 monitors on 210 video card
Logitech G19 keyboard, Logitech G9x mouse
The only thing that's not up-to-date in the image is that I upgraded to a GTX 680 from the older GTX 295 Co-Op...
I'm skipping the X79 platform for upgrades and just going to build a new PC when the next Intel enthusiast chipset releases.

I'm not claiming you're a fanboy- im pointing out the following;
1. Phenom II is 20% slower than sb clock for clock.
2. Trinity 1st edition piledriver is 5% faster clock for clock versus phenom II.
3. Vishera is 2nd edition piledriver cores with l3 cache, more cores, and higher clockspeed.
= AMD might catch up or perforn better in overall performance with any decent svaling.

Again? Almost every single thread I've seen you post in is about how great AMD CPUs and GPUs are. Can we give it a rest please?

If you're asking me to either stop giving people advice or stop telling the truth or stop recommending products of superior value, then no.
When I recommend someone an upgrade path, then another individual points out AMD has been having trouble competing in recent years as well as it used to, and I point out theres a chance AMD could strongly compete later this year, withot a motherboard upgrade, until haswell comes out next year, and may still compete on a price basis, that's 'going on about how great they are?' The math shows the possibility and it will largely come down to pricong and availability.
And the benchmarks show AMD GPUs to be faster at nearly every price point. Unless you didnt look at any in the last few months. Lol. Sadly Nvidia doesn't have supply on their hand and seem to be pushing advertising to push profit margins higher, but thats an assumption on my part based on what ive seen.

CPU wise, most games these days don't take full advantage of quad cores, i blame consoles (but thats for another time, if ever). So either a mid-tier Bulldozer or a Sandy Bridge will do for gaming, and to make sure buy an aftermarket air-cooler and over clock it, cheapest way to increase performance. No need to spend on high end CPU's, they're just a waste of money for a gamer.
