DId something change? All morning I've been solo dropping with PuGs, and %90 of them are up against 8man founder teams! This is BULL!!

Guess I'm done until it's fixed. Absolutely no fun to be a pugger in this game.

Later.

It's amazing that people can continually fall for the "post hoc, ergo propter hoc" fallacy. Not to mention the bigotry and angst.

Here's some enlightenment for you: They are not "8 man founder teams". At worst you got unlucky and the MM put 2 4-mans on the opposing team. More likely it's just 1 4-man and a bunch of solo puggers.

What difference does having the founder's tag make? Absolutely none. All a founder's tag means is that they've been in the game since the launch of Open Beta. Nothing more. :P

Not to mention I'm guessing that lots of the guys who are actually sync-dropping 8mans have turned off their founders tags.

Very few, if any, are "sync-dropping". Your likely-hood of meeting one that has successfully accomplished this is about 1 in 2000, or less.

Nu uh man.

Whenever you get rolled 0 to 8 it's always a sync dropping 8man, they're the newest boogeymen.

How come no one can lose to a better team without yelling premade. SOmetimes the other pug group is just better and actually have a plan at the beginning.

It could just be bad luck and I can see how getting stomped over and over can be annoying. Have you tried joining other players on teamspeak? Every time I've done it it's been a rewarding experience. That said, I know chatting with strangers is not for everyone.

When I'm pugging solo (not too much time to group up usually), I find that constantly communicating with my team is key. If I'm scouting, I try to report where the enemy is and what mechs I see. Or, for example, if I see a Lance trying to take a Cap, I might call everyone for help. Everyone wants to blow stuff up so they usually come. you can also call out targets to group fire. Yes, you have to type fast.

I guess what I'm saying is sometimes on a Pug team its good to take the initiative and be vocal. Sometimes you'll say something that gets everyone killed, "3 moving to their base. Lets push ridge. Gogogo" while other times your call might be the one that leads to victory.

If you're facing premades, they have the advantage in communication and are probably group firing. If you don't communicate and try to get organized as well, it will always be a struggle.

Don't give up; find a way to beat them.

joining a group will help, there are some groups that you can just hop on and play when you have time. No requirements.

Well to show you people are still trying to sync drop I will tell you a little tale with no names as to protect the ********.

I was solo dropping one night when I load in a person on my team says "dont go water, there are 4 of our clan on that side going cave" I said using "t" chat so both teams could hear "failed sync drop eh" the other team replied "yeah we were trying to get both groups on the same team" I said "is it too hard launching as an 8 man team against other group?" Silence... Then another enemy team member says "no we were trying to drop against each other" so I said "so how did you fail at sync dropping then?" Silence the rest of the game.

The people in that drop know who they were and they know what they were trying to do.

This would imply that OP is not the best mech pilot in the known universe, and any puggie can tell you that it's an utterly preposterous idea.

Sync drops do happen, but not as often as some people think they do. I have seen a lot more unintentional sync drops. I often play on the unofficial TS channel, and occasionally we will drop into a match with another 4 man also on the TS server but in another channel. It is not intentional, we were not communicating with those guys in any way, but we happened to drop at the same time and ended up on the same team. Just as often we see a group we know on the other team.

There are premades in every match almost at this point, a result of driving a ton of solo- lone wolf style players from this game, to other game titles like hawken, planetside 2, or world of tanks. Try any of those, and don't pay any attention to the rude posts berrating your opinion, and your view... the lonely individuals who make those posts, are the cancer of this community.

Good luck finding a title that you enjoy. Try this one maybe again down the road, hopefully some things change.

This kind of perception will unfortunately continue until there is a PUG only queue. Only then will there be sufficient evidence either way of what is happening.

It would be interesting to see the data, because at the moment the game is balanced enough that a single mech either way can have a drastic difference in a match. In Battletech, CLG - Combat Loss Grouping can account for a lot of this effect, but the consistent 8-0 matches does seem to indicate that perhaps something needs to be tweaked for more even results. I suspect ELO will help this immensely.

Finally, it also does matter what time you play. I have noticed a definite, noticable difference when I play in the mornings AEST time versus nights AEST time. I go from 1/4 wins at night to 2/3 wins in the mornings. I also do find a larger number of 4+ man teams at night here. I think this is because the time zones match up with the more dedicated player base in the US vs. when the more casual players are around.

You don't see me yelling pre-made.

But then again, I don't really care so long as I get to play my stompy mech.

Wouldn't being a part of a team make a stronger community? You know a Community working together for the betterment of all.
