Playing?
Yes

PAYING?
Maybe.
I will need to decide if a premium sub is worth it after my founders time expires.

its not....there's no real gain...c-bills are so easy to generate...i might be playing but probably not paying....also have founder's time burning down...feel burned after the massive economy change w/ no warning

i could only really see buying c-bills for mech-slots and mebbe a hero mech

II'm going to keep at it until community warfare hits. If that is a bungled mess I'm out until the Clans show up. If that is a F'ed up mess I'm uninstalling.

At the current rate this "beta" is progressing, I can promise you I will not be. In-fact, I will probably completely forget about this game due to finding another game to quench my thirst and going from there. Sad thing is I really, really, really like this game. But unfortunately, there is to little of progression with each patch.

I also do not want to get attached to a game that I believe is going to fail miserably in the end. Which is likely reason being that it left closed beta with not enough content. This game was not ready for an open beta.

these are the people who i reckon will kill the game off. many don't have enough patience to ride this game till the flaws are fixed and the content is there/ the question isn't will i keep playing this, it's really will it still be here to play? 3 months of course it will still be around but next christmas? now there's a challenge!

Yes. I knew it was a beta before I got into it. I also know its only been around for under 2 years, and considering that its pretty far along.

I will grant that generally when a game launches a "public beta" its a lot further along than this.

I am still looking forward to new content, and am still convinced they will fix issues like netcode, and in game voice chat. In the meantime I have a playable mech game. I don't have to pay anymore money to continue playing, and it is going to continue to grow and develop its entire lifespan.

51 people use ECM light mechs...

Poll numbers at during post
51 Yes
15 No

funny since I the only light I own is a founders Jenner without a motor.. and no mechs capable of using ECM. More like 51 people who actually know how to pilot......

I'll never be able to leave, even when I literally hate the game, I will still keep playing it, not until PGI flicks the switch in the servers and shuts them all down for good.

I will ride this train all the way into the sea.

Someone please help me.

Let's go together.

At this point it looks like a 77% retention of players after 3 months - usually with the caveat that more work is required. I know this is very poor maths - but that would equate to a ~9% erosion of current player base pcm. This is a better retention rate than I have seen indicated from chat over teamspeak - but that may just be the freshness of frustration's memory.

Silly poll is silly.

The majority of the people who would have picked no, are already gone.

Those players are already lost due to PGIs horrible handling of the game.

This is a very bad poll.

This being said, +1.

The rule of MMO's, is they are like oil pools. Sometimes you **** up the recovery effort, and that reservoir is lost forever. See Old Republic as to a spectacular blowout.

At this juncture, most pro or metgame clans have pretty much demoted MWO to casual status (as seen in the popularity of 8v8 and ladder matches). Most harcore players are just hanging around for the free cash flow.

All 3 memory leak errors are currently noted and have workable workarounds, as published in the known workarounds forum. Have you tried them yet ?

I don't need a (justifably) negative forum to see that the 10-15 people on our comms every night have been playing something else since a week into OB. The only reason I still play at all is foolish optimism.

/still pissed off about no reset at end of OB
//pretty sure CW will be a crock of *****
///utterly fed up with PGI's inability to balance a game given not only decades of TT but also some fantastic examples of EW/Persistence by the MWLL guys

I play once a week atleast, guna keep that up forver I would think. Might play a bit more after a patch especially if there is a new mech. I really enjoy the game it's the only game I play atm. People will leave if they get frustrated but they come back after they cool down. ECM is bugging me atm and lack of team work and matchmaking but time will fix those issues.

If you match a bunch of noob pugs vs another bunch of noob pugs there is no issue, there both going to be as disorganised as each other. But noob pugs vs people who can play well is no fun. I think once matchmaking is in it will be a totally different game, can anyone imagine playing SC2 with no ranking? Fix that and I think the game is doing great.

You forgot the "probably", "maybe" and "probably not" options. This question is WAY to open for yes/no answers.

I can't agree with this. I'd say that for this particular poll, it's too simple.

I am watching lava condense into rock. It is more interesting than MWO.
