I think a cool new game mode would be a Fog of War mode. Essentially it is Assault mode with randomly placed bases (same positions as conquest but only two and randomly placed.) The enemy base would have to be scouted out before the position is known.

Heh, this is how Assault should already be. I've no idea why they made the bases always be in same spots and even marked on your HUD and map. It's like a sign that says, "Go here you stupid newb" It'd make more sense if they were actual bases, but they're dropships, so I question why you'd put it where everyone knows where it is and not move it. If Assault is going to stay like this, they should make actual bases, with destructible walls and buildings you can destroy, with NPCs and turret defenses. I mean, why not have real bases instead of magic squares?

Sounds fun. Sounds way more fun than Conquest.....

I don't think the maps are big enough for a randomly spawned base to make much of a difference.

interesting, though possibly too easy to overcome when UAV's get added (though a good use of having one)

Actually, even if you just dropped one base at a random spot on the edge of the map and the other 180 out from it, it would still be a nice change.

Yet they're big enough to support 5. Odd.
Yeah that game mode works great...
Anyways, I mean that they're too small to provide much of a "mystery" as to where the enemy base is. It's either going to be at the other side of the map where it always is or it's going to be 500 yards right in front of you, making the maps feel even smaller.
10km X 10km map and then we'll talk random bases.

What you do is. you put those new bases down at all the points, but only one is working(moving). So you have to get up close to it to see if it's the real base.

randomizing maps would be awesome. i agree we need bigger maps, but i'd take random base mode in the current ones too.

I remember the game mode in Chromehounds... you had the following objectives in chromehounds, completing any 1 in a given match would net you the win, the objectives were:
Capture and hold all the Com towers [there were usually around 10 or so on the map]
Destroy the enemy base HQ [there were usually 3 "Bases" on each side, but only one was the actual base, and it was marked with a flag, only by destroying the proper one would a win be resulting.]
Destroy the enemy team
