I have seen a few threads that emphasize the idea that community warfare, to be successful, must have rewards that are worth the effort of engaging with the system.

In addition to the obvious rewards of C-bills and Loyalty for contracts, what other nifty little tidbits could PGI possibly throw out to players and organizations in order to entice people into putting forth serious effort?

In the last couple of weeks I've been delving back into mechlore of various flavors, and there are huge numbers of references to the loss and gain of access to mechs and technology - but, in the open economy of MWO, that may be too restrictive outside of certain highly specialized mech tech. So perhaps the answer to this lies in things that don't directly have to do with the mechs themselves?

I'm not sure how ephemeral canon rewards might be tied to an organization, but continuity nods like access to black boxes (and private intel streams from the devs) or the ability to engage in the kind of behavior that writes legends in canon (perhaps an option to settle a planetary conflict with a duel? Unusual maps for certain behaviors?) are the kind of things that aren't inherently mech upgrades, but most serious mechwarrior fans would be all over in a heartbeat.

What other unusual rewards would people go above and beyond in Community Warfare to get?

I was under the impression that everything we have now is a placeholder and CW was going to be THE game, not part of it. Then again it could just be the crack and tequila talking...(shrug).

I'd like to see when (If) community warfare comes out that when you sign up to the game you choose between the available houses. You do your 25 missions or however many the cadet bonus is fighting other Houses. When you get to your 25th game you then have the option to stay with your house, go mercenary or lone wolf. House units gain loyalty points quicker than Merc outfits and also don't have to have R&R. Merc Units gain less loyalty and have to deal with drop costs and reduced R&R, they fight over different planets ect ect. Lone Wolfing is the most expensive R&R wise, gain the lowest loyalty and have less of a penalty when fighting for different houses.

Make gaining loyalty points worth it with unique skins? Modules? Things like that. Give global bonuses to Pilots under the Houses that are winning to drive other houses to out do them ect.

I tend to think along these lines too, but without an incentive I suspect many people will just default to whatever the hot drop / instant action option is. Gathering truly impressive forces and taking the time to organize serious raids (like, say, multiple 12-man teams) is going to require some kind of incentive for an org that makes that kind of game more rewarding than just pugstomping.

Unique Skins would be righteous. Or some kind of canon unit membership based on LP - Only give people who are truly devoted to Kurita the Sword of Light colors / patterns, for example.
