The height will be over 32 cm because it is now already 32 cm and the legs are not mounted fix yet..

Only 39 parts left!

HM, can somebody design a mech hangar? Would be cool to have the mech standing in a hangar with some stuff around.

That thing is a monster. My heart goes out to the poor ink cartdriges.

I was thining about making a mech hanger the other day. But nothing to detailed. Just a box with a floor with sometextures and perhaps a walk way or two that is cut out.

We'll see.

Looking at that thing makes me want to build a giant foot and a half tall mech.
I echo Blaar, that thing is a monster.

@BLaaR

Would be awesome if you have something like a hangar. It don´t has to be much detailed. Like you say only like a box with some walks. But i would despair only by searching the right textures.

The ink cartridges didn´t interest me. They must bleed :( Also the paper.
One set of ink for the printer costs me 5 EUR and the photopaper i bought some box with 1200 sheets very cheap. That should be enough for a time :D

I will try and make something. Problem will always be scale.

How tall should I make the hanger ? 35cm ? 40cm ?

Also what shape do you want the floot to be ....... square, hexagon, round ?

Hm i think a height of 40 cm would be good since the atlas will be something around 34 cm.

The floor should be square. Maybe with the option to put more hangars in a row (without walls between, so like a big hangar?)

Well well well...our big guy got some new paint. To be honest...not entirely new. Centuries of battles have taken all prettiness away. But he is not to be judged by his shining armor! He's coming. More fearsome than ever. Founder's Atlas.

I was really surprised how much detail can be put into simple 4k texture. All those little rust speckles look way cooler than I expected. Sadly because of college assignments I don't have as much time as I'd want to spend on refining the texture. Nevertheless I'm already pretty happy with it.

Also I cooperate with Dopenudist to fix all little bugs in model that I missed on first release.
I plan to release this Founder's skin with already fixed version of papercraft.

Stay tuned. :)

Amazing......I love it. I will surely build the founder's Atlas once you release it.

I wish you had some free time to work on the Super Nova re-texture / texture upgrade.

33.5cm tall, and solid as rock.

Once you are done with this build, you can re-build with the founders skin.

33,5? But...how? When Pepakura says 32 cm :)

Your top-level precision really makes all the pieces blend together.

Paper thickness, something Pepakura doesn't take into account. I hope that it will do soon.

Nice work on the Atlas, Dope!

Yes, i think also that paper thickness makes some of the size. Maybe also because i used the png.files and didn´t print out of pepakura.

The last part to cut, fold, coloring edges.: Posted Image
Later this evening i will have the whole model done. But now i make some hot bath. :D

Oh, and i found out why the arm was off.

A little mech was the "bad" guy. But take a look:

I doubt paper thickness will make a 1.5cm deference, unless you are using super heavy thick card. I suppose it all depends on where you glued the hips or where the legs attaches to the hips, that usually makes a deference.

I think also that only the paper didn´t make the difference. But it is maybe one of the reasons.
Because the legs i attached like in the .pdo (Maybe 2 mm difference).

But who cares. Main thing is that he is BIG :( (and heavy. It weights 266 gr.)

Here is the big guy. Watch out!
