Poll: Biased Poll is not Biased (209 member(s) have cast votes)

I think that...

  1. I didn't read the OP, but you're an ***** regardless. (45 votes [21.53%])

    Percentage of vote: 21.53%

  2. The game is not dying, I know what hyperbole is, but your other points make a lot of sense, something needs to be done or the game is in serious trouble. (110 votes [52.63%])

    Percentage of vote: 52.63%

  3. All your points are invalid, the game is flourishing, you're clearly delusional, all people who complain are whiners, PGI know all, this game will be a roaring success. (54 votes [25.84%])

    Percentage of vote: 25.84%

What is all this talk of the Spider being next? Did I miss something? The spider is #15. The Stalker was #12. They've been getting released in order of announcement from what I can tell. That should put the Trebuchet and Jagermech before the Spider.

The content roadmap. We're getting the spider in about two weeks, and the trenchbucket in february.

What?! The game hasn't even launched yet.

Imagine saying that a single-player game in development is dying before they have even released the Campaign, while they're still in the process of stabilizing the client and have released just the hoard-mode gametype so far.

Then that's easily solved. We just need a better roadmap.

I agree with one poster who pointed out a lot of my OP is conjecture.

However, its conjecture based on where we were in closed Beta, where we've been in the months since, and what we have on the current roadmap in the months forward.

Maybe I'm particularly demanding, but personally, I don't feel that's the case. There are just so many outstanding issues, 'low hanging fruit' like I said. And the roadmap plans to address NONE of those issues. That's what's frustrating.

The joke is EVE has been "dying" for 10 years. (according the the forums).

Really? I've only been playing EVE for 3 years. I guess I should pay more attention to the forums.

I am still loving the game as well. I understand some of you don't think the roadmap is robust enough. Check out some of the recent ask the Devs posts as well. Just about every complaint I have seen on the forum has been address there or in command chair.

You think that they might as well just use Asterisks instead of calling it ********* *******. I mean, a social infrastructure that large takes time to build while they're also working on the base game.

(Edit: Hey! Community Warfare is not a cuss! stupid filter...)

Oh, its launched all right, youre just too much of a fanboi to admit it.

I've noticed more and more 8 man teams.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how mad would you estimate it makes you? It makes me 8 on the confusion scale.

One could argue they are doing a 4 man group so they could reach a wider array of their audience and customers. Considering most 8 mans are played by people who are actually competitive against each other it usually means a smaller group.

Or you know, you could just complain some more and ignore the obvious.

When they started accepting money for micro transactions I considered the game launched. They're only calling it beta so people will be more accepting of its sorry state.

Actually, it's so IGN and all the other sites won't be able to review the game.

the devs did mention awile back that they would be adding a skill filter to the match maker. I think this is a brilliant idea. It will make the action more competitive for the advanced players and the noobs wont get scared off before they can develop some basic survival skills

Probably because it would have been more PC to say 'either a boyfriend or a girlfriend'. I'm not a fan of the snide 'in your case' type insult either.

I'm honestly somewhat happy that there are still that many founders posting in forums. But it does go to show that the majority of the people who give two craps are the people who shelled out money for the game early on.

Why doesn't PGI then logically conclude these are the same people who would continue to shell money for it, if they kept them happy? That's what I don't get.

Hopefully it really just is a matter of poor communication with the community, and they really do have some kind of plan coming.

But like I said, looking at what we have, and looking at what's coming up, I doubt I'm the only one with a case of burnout.

Maybe the rest of the founders here can tell me, if they're feeling lukewarm about the game as it is right now, whether the current roadmap gets your pulse going or not.
